To Dream the Impossible

E - Everyone

In Poetry

Everyone has a dream.

A target;

An ambition to succeed,

To love,

To live.

Yet no one.

Not one believes their dream

Will fold into reality,

To warp the very fabric of time and space for them

.

Dreams are called dreams , for a reason;

They are so misjudged and unreal,

That they are thought of as impossible hopes.

However, they are not irrational or illogical.

They are merely improbable thoughts of your future,

That, in an ideal reality, are true visions.

.

To dream a dream is easy.

To achieve a dream is hard.

Yet as possible

As imagining one.

.

Perch your dreams on a cloud;

So that it hangs high above you,

Following at every turn and twist,

And with each stride through life,

A little fragment of the dream will rain down,

Unnoticed.

.

Until after a while you gaze upwardly

And realize that the cloud is no more.

Only to behold that you are standing

In reality.

Within the puddle of your complete dream .

.

Your dream has become your reality.

.

Because you hoped.

You tried.

You achieved

And with it came success,

Love,

And life.

.

Everything is impossible,

Until you do it.

Yo, Weymouth here to review because i'm just that cool :D
I absolutely love this, it is so refreshing to see a positive poem on YWS, 95% of the ones i see are so depressing (including my own). I think that this is a great topic to write about, and you've really done well! I like how the whole poem is addressing one person, it makes the reader feel like the writer is talking to them.
I don't really have any nitpicks about this, I love it! Keep it up! :)

Thank you very much !! :)

"Everything is impossible until you do it." I love that! I wish that quote was mine :-). I love your analogy to the cloud and the puddle; it greatly describes a dreams journey from a hope, and something that you may have once thought as "impossible", to reality, something that is suddenly no longer unreachable but within reach. I'm new here, and I don't really see anything wrong with this poem, sorry for the lack of constructive criticism :,(. I wish I could enlighten you like this poem enlightened me :-)

No, its fine, its fine thank you!! Im just glad that you liked it and enjoyed it. And thank you for the comment and praise :)

I am big enough to admit I am often inspired by myself.
