Love Hearts
I remember how it was,
When we were still happy,
When you still said,
I love you to me.
But now it all changed,
You ruined our happiness,
We're not together anymore,
And that hurts me.
Chorus: Love hurts,
At least this time it did,
It slaps you,
It kicks you,
It holds you down,
And knowing that you're,
The cause of my pain,
Hurts me even more.
I gived you all I had,
I loved you with my whole heart,
But was it not enough for you?
It slaps you,
It kicks you,
It holds you down.
You left me for her,
You left me without saying sorry,
You said all those words that hurt me,
Did you actually mean them?
It slaps you,
It kicks you,
It holds you down.
I want you back,
'Cause without you,
I feel cold and empty,
I know you still love me,
I just know you do,
Because I can't survive without you.
Chorus: Love hurts,
At least this time it did,
It slaps you,
It kicks you,
It holds you down,
And knowing that you're,
The cause of my pain,
Hurts me even more.
It tears me apart
Seeing you with her,
Holding her,
Kissing her,
It makes me cry.
Only you can,
Chase the pain I feel away,
Only you can,
Stick my broken heart together.
It slaps you,
It kicks you,
It holds you down.
Ohhh....yeah...yeah
Love hurts even more
When you're not around.

Hello there, Ikafe!
This lyric's totally emotional and deep for one whose heart became broken. I love the flow, the feelings going on and on.
I agree with Kyllorac. This stanza's good. Also, you rhymed things, which really helps in smoothing the flow of your lyrics.
Keep writing!
Peace out!
"Gave", not "gived".
Lyrics should be punctuated following the same rules as prose and poetry. Right now, these lyrics are not, and it leads to a lot of run-on thoughts. The imagery is a bit on the sparse side, though I do like how you have love actively harming the singer.
While you did space out the lyrics and chorus from each other so that it's easy to tell what's what, there's no clear pattern to the lyrics. Some are six lines, some are five, and some are three, and there's no clear reason why. If some parts are spoken or sung in the background by a chorus/echo, then indicate it somehow with a label or italics (or something). As-is, there's no clear pattern to the lyrics, which leaves me wondering just how this is supposed to be sung.
Hi
OK, I know that it is totally irrelevant, but these lyrics are totally cute. They are just effortlessly cute. I think you did a great job here. The words are real and believable. I loved the chorus the whole,
Gosh, it just pounces and pounces and the whole burst of anger, I can feel it girl! For real. I really wish I could hear the actual song to hear the whole melody along with the words.
I only have one but though, the title. I don't know, I don't think that it does the song justice. I mean when I read 'love hurts', I was expecting one of those songs that are ordinary and boring. The title also strangely reminded me of Nazareth's "Love Hurts", you know it?
Good job though, I totally dig the lyrics.
