On this beautful night

On this beautiful night ...

Here I am walking alone in the dark
where I finally found some peace,
where I can contemplate in my thoughts,
this relaxing atmosphere is so refreshing
from all that is behind me.

All you can hear is heavy steps on the ground
and the echo of children' s voices playing around
in the deserted place.

The trees look so beautifully decorated by the snow,
although my body is shivering,
and my hands now feel like ice,
and my face is immobilized by the gelid breeze surrounding me,
I would be a liar if I were to say that I don't appreciate this intense moment.

Snow is falling on my clothes like soft touches,
the atmosphere feels so warming,
the children' s voices are now closer;
playing outside their houses in such a festivity
using their ingeniousness to construct pieces of snow.

Here I am walking alone in the dark
where I finally found some peace.

I really like this poem. I like the way you described everything, it really drew me in. Reading this, I can imagine what is happening, and I can see the setting perfectly. You have talent. Keep it up.

Lovely poem. It emanates the feeling of peace and tranquility, and very nice description. Winter does seem to be a favorite season for meditation *laugh*. Very nice, no real revision from me, just a suggestion:

Snow is falling on my #FF0000 ">cloth like soft touches,

Cloth could be #FF0000 ">clothes, depending on what you were going for.

Very nice poem!
