Tears for You

In My Poetry

PreviousNext
The tears I shed...
They're the memmories I shared with you, all those joyous days.
Remembering the days when our love was young, and the days never grew old.
The tears I cry...
They come spilling out, with no control.
Recalling the smiles, the frowns, the words that were said, and the words that we kept to ourselves.

At your funeral, these tears that flow like the river close by.
Now I understand...
these tears I shed...
these tears I cry...
are tears for you.

Hey Spain! Great poem! I liked it a lot and I think it is very pretty.
Just a few tips I would like to give, and hopefully they will help in your
future writing.

First, the lines. To me, poems should have short lines, but it really doesn't
matter too much. So if you were to shorten them, make it at a part where
you pause. Like in line two of stanza one, maybe cut it into a new line after
'...with you.' Or like in the last line of stanza two, cut it after '...I shed.'

I love this poem very much. It brings back sweet memories that I can't seem
to forget. Sometimes I wish I could forget, but other times - where would I
be without them?

Beautiful poem. Keep writing!!!

That was so full of emotions, however small this poem is. I couldn't help but feel an ache inside my own heart. This is something that reminds us of the reality that everyone has to die someday and that people we love will pass away even when we want them to be together with us forever. But we know that it's not possible. You picked a very unique theme and the title suits it all too well. I will be looking forward to more poetry from you. Keep it up! :)

Thanks! I am not really good @ poetry, but I think I will do some more in the future. :)

Hey,
this is really sweet and captivating, just work on structure a bit and all. But it really doesn't matter about it that much as the poem is still wonderful.
The only thing that I would change is split the last line in two, after "tears I shed..." go to another line.

Great job!! xxx

Thank you! I decided to work on it after reading your comment, so I did. :) I just thought "maybe I should make the format a little more like the beginning"...that's just me, though.
