Writer's Note: Honestly, I have no idea why I wrote this haha. I recently have gotten really interested in historical fiction so decided to write a mini chapter-novel thing about the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), because, if you didn't realize already.. I'm Muslim and yeah I wanted to share a lil' 'historical story' about something that I find very close based on my identity :>. I feel like there will be at least one person reading this thinking 'Hell naw, I ain't gonna read some religious thing', well, It's not rlly a 'religious thing'.. even though it kinda is, I just wrote something a bit like the Nativity about Muhammad's childhood so yeah, enjoy! Might make Chapter 2 if people like this religious-historical story chapter thing. Just realized I like talking a lot but whatevs uh Adios...

(Maybe) Chapter 1: Childhood
In the heartland of the Arabian Peninsula, nestled like a precious gem within the vast embrace of the Arabian desert, emerged the illustrious city of Mecca. Its very existence seemed like a divine brushstroke on the canvas of history, imbued with an otherworldly splendor that defied mortal comprehension. Mecca stood as a testament to human aspirations, a symphony of sights and sounds that would enrapture the senses and etch indelible memories upon the souls of those fortunate enough to witness its grandeur.
Within the labyrinthine streets of Mecca, life unfolded like a tapestry woven with threads of vibrant colors and intoxicating fragrances. The bustling markets, with their sinuous alleyways, became a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds, a mesmerizing dance of life itself. Here, the air was alive with the heady aroma of exotic spices, swirling together to create a tantalizing concoction that seduced the senses. The merchants, draped in robes of myriad hues, beckoned passersby with melodious incantations, their voices blending harmoniously with the melodies of clinking coins and animated conversations.
The marketplaces were veritable treasure troves, teeming with a profusion of riches that evoked gasps of awe and wonder. Gleaming gold and silver ornaments adorned the displays, their radiant shimmer casting an ethereal glow upon the faces of onlookers. Intricately woven textiles, adorned with intricate patterns and vibrant hues, swayed like poetry in the breeze, whispering tales of distant lands and ancient craftsmanship. Baskets overflowed with plump dates, their verdant skins glistening like emerald jewels, inviting the hungry and the curious to savor their sweetness.
In the midst of this bustling symphony, languages intertwined like a melodious chorus, each word a distinct note in the grand composition of Mecca's cultural tapestry. Conversations echoed through the crowded streets, a fusion of dialects and accents that mirrored the diversity of pilgrims and traders who traversed these hallowed grounds. People from all corners of the world, united by their shared devotion or pursuit of commerce, mingled and embraced the vibrant cosmopolitan spirit that Mecca embodied.
-----------------------------------------------------
Amidst the vibrant tapestry of Mecca, the young Muhammad traversed the city with an air of enchantment that mirrored the wonder of his surroundings. His eyes, wide with curiosity, absorbed the kaleidoscope of colors and the kaleidoscope of cultures that unfolded before him. The vibrant silks and fine linens, meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, whispered stories of distant lands and unknown worlds. The perfumes that lingered in the air, a symphony of scents, conjured images of flourishing gardens and exotic blooms that existed beyond the desert's grasp.
Mecca was not merely a city of material abundance; it was also a sanctuary of spiritual solace. The mountains that encircled the city, their peaks stretching towards the heavens like sentinels of the divine, seemed to guard the secrets of the universe. As the sun ascended and painted the sky with strokes of golden hues, its warm rays caressed the rugged countenance of the mountains, casting ethereal halos upon their noble faces. It was as if these majestic peaks communed with the heavens themselves, whispering secrets of cosmic wonder and eternal mysteries to those who cared to listen.
The desert, a vast expanse of shimmering sands that stretched beyond the horizons of Mecca, held an allure that was both captivating and humbling. The shifting dunes, sculpted by the gentle touch of the wind, created a mesmerizing dance of patterns that seemed to defy the laws of nature. In the scorching embrace of the sun, the grains of sand transformed into golden stardust, reflecting the celestial symphony above. Amidst this timeless landscape, Muhammad found solace and inspiration, the vastness of the desert mirroring the boundless potential that lay within his own spirit.
In this tapestry of sensory wonders, Muhammad's noble lineage intertwined with the very fabric of Mecca. His beloved grandfather, Abdul-Muttalib, stood as a pillar of wisdom and guidance, imparting upon the young Muhammad a reverence for the sacred traditions and customs that adorned the Quraysh tribe. It was within the embrace of his grandfather's counsel that Muhammad's heart blossomed with an unyielding faith in the unity of the divine, his spirit emboldened to embrace the profound purpose that awaited him.
The years passed swiftly, like grains of sand slipping through an hourglass, leaving an indelible imprint on Muhammad's soul. The vibrant city of Mecca had become both his playground and his sanctuary, nurturing the seeds of compassion, justice, and spiritual enlightenment that would one day bloom into a resplendent garden within his prophetic mission.
However, amidst the enchanting grandeur of Mecca, a darker side prevailed. The idolizers of Mecca, entangled in their devotion to false gods, had strayed far from the path of righteousness. In their pursuit of power, wealth, and dominance, they trampled upon the rights and dignity of others, especially women.
Within the shadows of Mecca's labyrinthine streets, women suffered under the weight of oppressive customs and patriarchal norms. They were treated as objects, mere possessions to be bought and sold, denied their rightful place in society. The idolizers, driven by greed and a lust for power, reveled in their control over women, exploiting and demeaning them for their own desires.
In Mecca's bustling markets, where treasures abounded, the idolizers reveled in their ill-gotten gains. They adorned themselves with ostentatious displays of wealth, flaunting their opulence and indulging in extravagant pleasures while disregarding the plight of the less fortunate. The pursuit of material possessions and worldly status had consumed their hearts, blinding them to the suffering of those around them.
The idolizers of Mecca, intoxicated by their false sense of superiority, reveled in their exploitation of the vulnerable. They manipulated the systems of power and authority to their advantage, perpetuating an unjust social order that favored the privileged few at the expense of the marginalized. Their actions perpetuated a cycle of oppression and injustice, reinforcing the status quo and stifling any hope for positive change.
Amidst this climate of moral decay and the degradation of women, the young Muhammad grew increasingly aware of the injustices that plagued his society. His compassionate soul burned with a fervent desire to challenge the prevailing norms, to uplift the oppressed, and to restore dignity and equality to all. Little did the world know that this child, immersed in the vibrant tapestry of Mecca, would rise to become the transformative force that would challenge the idolizers, dismantle their oppressive systems, and guide humanity towards a path of justice, compassion, and monotheistic devotion.
Thus, while Mecca dazzled with its vibrant colors and awe-inspiring beauty, it also harbored a darkness that needed to be confronted. The childhood of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Mecca was not just a time of wonder and exploration, but also a period of deep reflection on the societal maladies that plagued his beloved city. It was a time that forged his resolve, ignited his passion for justice, and prepared him to be the beacon of mercy and guidance that would forever alter the course of history and illuminate the path for generations to come.

Writer's Note: Nice, you finished (or you just skipped to the end.. I can relate haha). If you did finish, I'd appreciate it if you could comment whether you liked this or not... and yeah. Also if any of y'all do actually use/worship idols in your religion (Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism...) I entirely respect you guys, I'm just writing a story from a historical narrative. And yeah, I've actually felt way more interested towards the other two Abrahamic religions, might write another 'historical story chapter thing' from another prophet's perspective (probably like Moses or Jesus or Noah or Abraham, list goes on...). And yeah, bye!!

Hi, quick review for this story!
Anyway, let's get into the review!
Yessss another muslim on this site! I was wondering whether you were muslim since I saw your profile picture, but I'm so happy that you are! (I am also a muslim) This is such a beutiful piece, I love your style of writing so much! You put so much detail into your sentences, it describes Mecca and the Prophet (peace be upon him) so well! It's a religious piece, but it is written so well, and portrays the religion so beutifully, I am in awe right now.
Ahhh it's such a great beginning! You used so many metaphors/similes in this paragraph, it's so well written. I can imagine Mecca so well in my head. Great job on that!
You seem to be using the word "kaleidoscope" a lot in this story, and I don't at all mind because it's a great metaphor to use in this situation. I also like how you compared Mecca to a tapestry, because cities really are like tapestries.
This actually made me a little hungry lol. Probably because you decribed the dates so well.
Not sure how you made a desert sond so beautiful, but you did it really well. This paragraph make the reader appreciate the desert a lot more, because of how well you described the sparkly sand and the calm wind.
I like how you talk about women in this story, because I really enjoy learning about women in Islamic history. I know it's just in one paragraph, but it's still good that you mentioned their struggles in that time.
Such a good final sentence, truly summarizes his legacy beautifully, and a great conclusion to the story.
If I had any suggestions, I would say that you could use the word , "tapestry" a little less, because you said it a lot in the story. I like your use of the word, but it just seems like you used it a lot. But you can also keep it how it is if you want.
This was such a beautiful piece, I think you should write a second chapter because of how well you wrote this one. But it's totally up to you. Happy writing!
Hey there, thank you so much for the kind words! Thanks for the note of improvement, thanks for the great review <3
Hi! This is a random weirdo here to leave you a review.
First impression:
This is dazzling! I love learning about other religions, and this was beautifully done. Your descriptions really took me away into the narrative, and there are so many beautiful words! (I like words) I feel like often many writers will cut parts of descriptions or skip them entirely because they think the readers will be bored. Unless I'm feeling particularly impatient, I love descriptions (as long as they don't go for too long), and there should be more of them.
Anyway, on to the review.
Right from the beginning, we start with description. (Yay!) Every word is beautifully placed, and I want to keep reading from the start. Though I've never been, Mecca sounds like an amazing place, and I really wish I could go there and see for myself.
I literally cannot tell you how much I love all the descriptions. I love them I love them I love them. I am transported into Mecca, and I never want to leave. I want to be there in the marketplace and talk with the people there. (Wait, I doubt they speak English..... never mind)
These first four paragraphs set the scene perfectly, and make a spectacular start.
The description! ^^ Now we get to see Muhammad, and I'm more intrigued than ever.
I typically don't think of deserts as all that great, and writers will often describe them as "scorching wastelands". You don't do that here. And it just adds more to your writing when you describe them so wonderfully! I never thought of them that way.
Now we get to the darker side of Mecca. Even grand places with an air of 'perfect' on the outside still have their problems.
I feel sorry for those people (especially women) who had to deal with the idolizers and their greed. Even today, many places and people treat others with cruelty.
And... the end! Or maybe there will be more? I'd love to read more about Muhammad ('cause I actually don't know anything about him) or any other religious historical figure. This works great as a stand alone ending, but more would definitely work as well.
In all, this was absolutely wonderful! I hope to read more of your writings soon, even if it isn't on this specific topic.
Have an amazing day/night, and keep writing!
Hey there, thank you so much for the review! I really enjoyed reading it
damn bro this is really good. i really like how you have divided all the chapters/pages. i also like how really spaced out its is. i would really like to see a full story about this. in other words if it was possible ***** 5 stars 10/10.
