These girls have always been my weakness.
Not one ever saw my distress.
But I had to face them, day after day,
Wishing my loneliness would just stay away.
The sun rose and set; we all lived on.
But as they grew old, they also grew strong.
I found myself in a battle line, and though I had tried,
there was only myself standing on my side.
Each day was a constant argument, or disagreement.
I knew these girls' actions shouldn't be my treatment.
Then why do they do it? They say I've changed.
But really, it's for the better, that my life has rearranged.
I've come to know who my true friends are -
The only ones who help me shine as a star.
Not the ones who take me down,
Hoping I never get off the ground.
It gets hard, sometimes, living this lie,
of "everything is great, everything is fine."
Because you know what? I dread school just because of you.
And all the stupid things you say, and the hurtful things you do.
I'm at the battle line again, trying not to get killed.
But a little gossip out of me, and I know I'll get grilled.
So I'm sorry for the things I've done in the past,
I just wish they could see, over my heart is a plastered cast.
Because now, I refuse to let people in.
I don't know if that's bad, is it a sin?
Last night was too hard, I didn't want to talk to anyone.
So I get called "different", and again, they've won.
Congrats, you've won our battle again.
But maybe, just maybe, someday, I'll win.

Gracie, it's wonderful. There isn't a thing I would change.
School's almost over, and I got my internet to work, so we can talk. Thanks to your vball friends and everyone supportive on here, YOU GOT THIS.
Beautiful poetry. (:

It's a very good poem and I don't really have anything bad to say to it. You're a brilliant writer! Happy writing!
Overall I really like this poem and I can't see anything wrong with it. My favourite bits I will colour purple.
This poem is very, very good. The rhyme isn't forced and the stanzas flow nicely. Well done, a definite like from me.
Keep writing,
~Crim
