The Truth Behind the Lies

by God

Published December 22, 2008

The man smiles softly,
but no-one knows why.
On his face a grin,
but his eyes betray the lie,
He's telling to the world,
he's telling to himself,
though all of them are blind.
She mocks him for his faith,
but she will never know,
what she is, to his eyes,
the only truth behind the lies.

He bore the weight
of a thousand years,
all their pains,
and all their fears.
He could feel the truth,
deep in their hearts,
and the things he saw,
they tore him apart.

And when he could,
no longer take,
what all along,
he'd known was fake.
He ended the dream,
with the edge of a knife.
He had searched all his life,
for some shred of proof,
and finally
he knew the truth.

Wow. The rhyming was brilliant!! :D

I like it. Somehow, it portrays life in a deep, different perspective, and it isn't quite bad at all!!

So good job, and a gold star is awarded! :D

let me state this right now. there is a reason I wrote the poem this way... well sort of...
it is NOT about suicide... well, it is, but it isnt, that is NOT the point.

Woo-hoo (Homer Simpson)
He had searched all his life,
for some shred of proof,
and finally
he knew the truth.

Did you really had to screw up the end???
He has been searching
For evil's root.
He lived a lie,
but he found the truth.

Everything else was pretty much brilliant.

Gravity was a mistake.
