Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Okay, well since your prologue and first chapter start with two different characters, you don't have to worry about the two not fitting together.
The chapter was really good, I just finished your prologue, so I'm really anxious for the rest! I love these kinds of stories.
PM me for the rest!
Well, it wasn't as good as your prolouge but I still loved it! You love italics, right?
About your characters. They are awesome and origional but I'd like to see some more characterisation on Regan. Lawson's personality was jumping all over the place though he didn't strike me as that kind of person.
Overall, this piece really keeps the reader hanging on for more. It's intelligently written, it kinda reminds me of Charlie Fletcher's work, namely Stone Heart. And, uh, that's my favorite book.
Hope I helped, and keep writing!

Hey! Once again, you delivered brilliantly! I was pulled in and want to read more!
Phoenix really covered everything I was going to nitpick on, so all I have to add is that you did an excellent job with the dialogue, especially between Lawson and Sharman. You just made it sound so...real; I was able to picture it going on between two different characters. Your humor is great as well.
The only part that stuck out to me was this:
For some reason, it just feels a little...detached, I suppose. I don't know how to describe it, but I feel as if you're going on a tangent...could be just me, though, so I wouldn't take too much notice of what I said about it.
Anyways, beautiful writing, I look forward to the next part!
In the war stories forum we would say, "awesomesauce." Since I am not writing there I am forced to say more dull words that mean the same thing.
The story sucked me in from the beginning. The characters are described very well. There was no flat dialogue, and the characters emotions were portrayed magnificently. Overall spectacular job! Keep writing.
I love your story! you need to write more! seriously! I am very exciuted to read more! It is very creative and interesting and I was completly absorbed by the story and I could visualize it perfectly in my mind! Message me when you write more! please! thank you!

There isn't much wrong with this story. It looks interesting, the characters are well described and I had to look really hard to find anything wrong with it.
I think that the last sentence is unnecessary, unless it's important later on, but because Mrs. Harper is not overdescribed I don't think that's what you are aiming for.
No need for the last sentence.
Not that I have anything against dispelled, I just think dealt with sounds better.
Other than that, it would help if you described your main character more, and make this a second chapter, unless you have already done this in the prologue.
Keep writing, and revisit your work form time to time and it can only get better ^^.
PM if you need anything
Phoenix landing to review.
This word is too vague. People tend not to go I'm going to College now. Use school or maybe her dorm room. The second one indicates she's in college without being too obvious.
I think you can be more specific here. A teacher tends to say something along the lines of. You'll fall behind and fail the class. . . blah blah blah. I'm not your mommy and I won't ask you for your paper I'll just give you a zero. On top of that maybe go into how your character feels about failing, because I get a vague impression she doesn't put much stalk into school.
There is something off about this sentence. I'd say it's the part of her explaining her relief. I think you can do that more subtly.
This girl describes him in a negative light. So I find it a bit hard to believe that she'd shake her hand. Have him have is hand extended for awhile, and then she can be like. She obviously wasn't going to get rid of him until she shook his hand, and she could always wash her hands right after.
“
The half hearted laugh implies that.
Description- Your description is great
I'd add "What are you doing here. Just saying a name isn't really considered idle chit-chat, so Lawson needs to say something before.
Overall really good. You're really good at description and making unique comparisons.
The dialogue is divers to each character, which I also applaud. The way the scene progresses it has you asking questions in all the right ways.
I think you can add some to the main characters part, because right now I don't feel like we know enough about her. Yes it's the first chapter, but the other characters through dialogue and such are well developed and I almost already know how they tick. You just need to do the same with her.
Really good and keep it up.
