Prologue
In a small Italian region surrounded by lush rural farmland bordered by forests within Tuscany, a 2008 Maserati GranTurismo silently broke free of the foliage and drove past two stunned hikers. It accelerated before coming to a sudden halt in front of the newly renovated mansion nearly a mile from the forest border. The mansion was completed in August next to farmland owned by the Peckleton family. In total only two families had ever lived in this region, none of which had ever co-existed with the other.
The silver car was abruptly pursued by a 2006 Bugatti Veyron. The navy-blue vehicle came to a silent rest next to the Maserati and within a few seconds a tall, handsome man, emerged from the interior. Nastassia’s heart skipped a beat as soon as her light hazelnut eyes made brief contact with his glaring dark eyes. They momentarily rested on her before examining the surroundings. He was dressed unlike any farmer. Black hair combed to his left gave him that bad-boy appearance, and the fact that he wore a black leather jacket with matching jeans didn’t soften his appearance. His olive tan skin revealed a life in sunshine just incompatible with the cloudy weather of this region.
The three Peckleton family members slowly began walking towards these newfound visitors.
“David!” The man called out to the other parked vehicle. “I don’t think they got our email. Does anyone have email out here?”
The door of the Maserati opened and out stepped a man equally as tall as his peer but with hair as silver as his car, combed back. He slammed the right door shut, glancing at a giant grey duffel bag tied to the rear of Dante’s car before walked up to his brother. By now the three Peckletons had surrounded the two men.
“Good morning. My name is David as I’m sure you probably know by now,” he paused to look at his brother, “and this is my brother Dante. I hope we can co-exist in Diavolo Pascolo.”
“Now there’s a name that hasn’t been spoken in centuries. Why have you two decided to move here?” The elderly man at the front of the pack spoke up. Like his family, Lorenzo Peckleton had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the owners who hired foreign construction workers to build a mansion next to their property. In return for cooperation, his family were to receive land in the United States of America, whether or not they chose to move there was his decision.
David rested his hand on a small key-chain like object in the left pocket of his jeans as Dante ignored him.
“The same reason you decided to stay here Lorenzo.” Dante replied, slamming the door of his vehicle shut, as he maintained careful eye contact with Nastassia. “We’re here to survive by any means possible.”
Three years earlier Dante had first met Nastassia at a casino in London. She wore a red dress then and kept her brown hair short.
“I see someone hasn’t been to a barbershop,” He said cruelly finishing with a smirk.
David gave him a pat on his left shoulder, discreetly injecting a sedative as his palm rested firmly on his brother’s shoulder.
“We have to go check out our new home,” He concluded genuinely, turning his transfixed brother towards the direction of their front door. Despite the relatively small sedation David knew that Dante was struggling to continue basic levels of coordination and orientation. His brain was slowly, but surely, being sucked into a temporary slumber.
“You’re welcome to join us for a welcome dinner tonight,” Nastassia’s father said warmly to David.
“Thank you Mr. Peckleton, that would be very…” He looked up at the sunny sky in brief contemplation before resuming his focus with a warm smile, “nice.”
The three Peckletons turned around to make their way back to their home three hundred metres away. Nastassia stopped, and turned around to catch the final glimpse of David carrying Dante in his arms inside their newly constructed haven. She could have sworn she had left his brother near death upon their last encounter. Evidently she was wrong. She continued walking briskly to catch up with her parents.

Hey!
Firstly, thank you for your review.

~The first thing I aboustly LOVED about this piece were your car choices. A Maserati and a Veyron=both these families have to be rich.
~I love you're description, it's breathtaking and exquisite, but there too much in the places I colored blue.
You need to slow down a bit.
Overall, I love this!

Hiya, Elite! Coco here
I really loved this. The descriptions were vivid, your writing was intriguing and I'm excited to read more. My only qualm with this piece is that David and Dante don't seem to have the attitude that reflects in their appearance. I think it would've been great to match their appearance with their attitude, for example, have them strutting, maybe one will be chewing a toothpick in his mouth or smoking a cigar...little things like that make for really interesting characters. Anyway, I'm loving this so far, I hope you continue, if you do I'll be happy to regularly check up and review!
Happy writing!
