Chapter IV - Escaped
Terrin crashed through the door. Bryn coward in his shadow. "What the hell have you done Cela?" he yelled. Cela gulped.
"What do you mean Terrin?" She replied softly.
"Answer my question god damn it! You know very well what I mean. You dirty lying bitch! Your stupid Salenca is gone! Now tell me, what the hell did you do?" He was so menacing that Cela couldn't help but cower and gulp, just like Bryn. Only Terrin wasn't yelling at Bryn, he was yelling at Cela.
"Terrin I have done nothing. Even ask Bryn here, I never left this room, the door was always locked. She just sat by my bed the entire time, watching me sleep." Cela replied, her voice small and barely audible over Terrin's heavy breathing and cursing. She tried to hide her face in her sweatshirt, but was unable to pull her eyes away from his crazed berserk-like stare. Clearly he'd gone crazy.
"Terrin," Bryn said warningly from behind him, "Terrin don't yell, your sister is not a bitch, and I will not have you call her such things! You need not use profanity." She let out a small cry of surprise as he turned to her.
"Is that so Bryn? You don't want me calling poor Cela bad names? I am not a child, and neither is she. Xavier!" Terrin cried, as Bryn quietly shook her head. But at that moment Xavier came through the door. It had been closed, but he blew straight through it, sending sharp wooden pieces flying everywhere. Cela was amazed that not one scratched her, and she was very thankful. For she was sure, that if her blood flowed, there would be far more violence than there was now.
"Yes master," Xavier said with a flourished bow.
"First off you are to dispose of Bryn and Cela," Terrin began, "And after you finish that gruesome task you must search every corner of this building and find the woman Salenca. Kill her as well. Do this and you will take Bryn's place." He said, not a regret on his face as he sentenced all of them to their deaths. He did not seem to think that it was such a gruesome task. He seemed to enjoy the thought that the last living member of his family would die, painfully.
"Yes master," Xavier said, an evil, joyus gleam in his red eyes. He crossed over to Cela and grabbed her forearm, dragging her to the door. Hard as she try to resist she found his force far to strong, and he barbarically drug her out the door, grabbing Bryn as he passed.
He led them out through the labyrinth of passage ways by which Cela had first come to see Terrin. It was at last when they were on a bridge, standing in the frigid mountain air, that Xavier stopped. Below them was a valley, but it was a long way down, Cela realized what his plan was, he was going to throw them off the bridge.
Bryn looked over at Cela in fear, and in that moment they both knew what they would have to do if either of them wanted to live. They would have to find a way to get Xavier off of the bridge in place of themselves. But how?
Xavier cast Bryn aside and ceased the back of Cela's shirt, hoisting her high up into the air. She flailed and thrashed about, but Xavier seemed to take no notice. He was concentrating entirely on Cela, and that was his weakness.
Bryn may have looked small and weak, but the reality was that she wasn't. After being cast to the ground she stood back up. She cautiously snuck behind Xavier, and kicked him hard in the back of the knee.
The effect was instantaneous. Xavier's knee buckled, and Bryn was just in time to kick the other one, sending him crashing onto the stone bridge. She circled in front of him with inhuman speed and kicked him in the chest, knocking the wind out of him. In final realization of what would happen, he used the last of his force to send Cela flying off the edge of the bridge, falling faster and faster to her doom.
It took Bryn no time to realize what had happened. She quickly ran past Xavier and threw herself off the side of the bridge after Cela. She contorted her body in such a way that she was moving faster and faster, closer to Cela.
Quickly she reached her, and Bryn took no thought as she used Cela's weight to swing her against her back. The wind was so strong that they could not communicate, but Cela realized what Bryn was doing and locked her legs around Bryn's waist, letting her arms lock around her shoulders.
Bryn bent her legs just right, so her feet were pointing downward. Oh my god, we're going to die. Cela thought, before realizing something, Bryn had a plan, and Bryn couldn't die this way.
They hit the ground running. Bryn was not hurt at all as her legs touched the ground, and she took off running into the valley. Cela was stiff with fear, unable to believe that she wasn't dead. Unable to believe that a vampire had just saved her life. The world wasn't the same as it used to be.
Cela soon saw what Bryn had meant by being unable to sleep. Or even tire. She ran for the longest time, until it was near what Cela guesstimated as three o'clock. It was then that Bryn slowed to a stop.
"You must have guessed it by now," Bryn said as Cela gathered her breath. Bryn sounded just as she had in the castle, not winded at all.
"What on earth," Cela began, pausing for a breat, "Do you mean?" She breathed out heavily.
"I'm a member of Aradel."

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Well, the rest will come up later, try tomorrow night, but I have to say....
Cela has no fear of dying, I must say now. You will see this in later chapters, but you can wait for more.
XD later

I'm back again!
So we have some great action, that's for sure. Especially at the end when Bryn's beating up Xavier. You should definitely take more time to talk about the fight. *nods*
Terrin made me angry in this chapter, but I don't think it's the kind of angry you were hoping for. Terrin locked Cela and Bryn up for a reason, right? So why in the world is he sentencing them to death? If he really needs Salenca, he should (1) have been more prepared and locked her up better and (2) send someone to go after her. Killing Cela and Brynn are not going to bring Salenca back, and he should know that. Otherwise, why did he keep all three of them alive in the first place?
Why did Terrin talk about Bryn as a threat about two chapters ago? 'Cause she's definitely turning into a good guy, and Terrin doesn't seem shocked that she doesn't work for him anymore.
Finally, during the last part when Cela and Bryn are about to be thrown off the bridge, you keep telling us what's happening. You don't have to tell us that Bryn is smart in attacking Xavier behind his back. Just have her attack him. The reader will know she was smart by themselves. Also as they were falling down from the bridge, you don't have to tell us that Bryn had a plan. Just show us a determined look if you really want to, but you should really only focus on Cela's fear of dying. Basically, show, don't tell. ;D
Hope this helped! After you make all these edits, your novel should turn out to be 4x bigger, haha!
Keep writing!
Jabber, the One and Only!
And on to chapter four
Isn't he the going to be the last living family member if Cela dies?
Nicely done. A great cliffhanger and plot twist. A two in one.
Of course you also forgot the imagery and the explanations again. Improve on that and you've got yourself a great novel.
:sigh: Seems that I've run out of things to say. I should have reviewed this tomorrow, but you'll have to make do with my strikingly small review, sorry. The story got too exciting to critique, hehe well done!
See ya till the next chapter!
