i totally agree with the fact that the book was great, i totally agree that it was hilarious, and i totally agree that there should be more books coming out (or a sub-series at least!)

The first book introduces the readers to the brilliant and miscevious five thousand year old djinni Bartimaeus and his master the young and foolish wizard Nathaniel.
The story has a basic plot concering a certain magical artifact known as the Amulet of Samarkand. It's a really good book and I just love Bartimaues because he is so funny and honest.
A great book for all ages with magic, mayhem and mystery.
This book includes many of London's famous landmarks such as the Tower of London, Whitehall and many more.
I give it 9/10, it's a really good read and I recommend you read it.
Thumbs up.

I liked the first one because Kitty didn't have her own chapter things until the second. The end of the third one was awesome. Very sad but still awesome.
I just finished the first one and liked it alot. Bartimaeus is indeed very funny. I'm looking forward to the next 2 books...
i enjoyed, thought both books were great reads. i preffered the first one though.
The book is alright. It has a good plot but it's so long I just got bored of it. It's the same with both the others.
Bartimaeus (spelling?) is a good character and he is funny but there isn't enough character dovelopment. Nathanial is quite a boring character but shows much more promise of doveloping into a more interesting character.
I absolutely LOVE this book!! Bartimaeus is SO COOL!! I could not tear myself away from this book. It's so filled with action, yet at the same time, it develops all the characters into 3-D beings complete with flaws, shortcomings, and great qualities. An excellent book for anybody.
I loved the Amulet of Samarkand!! I absolutely love the writing, and Bartimaeus is hilarious. I'm working on the second book now... Actually, that's a lie. I started it during the summer and never got around to finishing it.
i generally agree with ur good reviews, but it must be said that without Bartimaeus and his hilarios footnotes the series would be as nothing.
This series is in my favourites list, I couldn't put the books down and have finally got all three books which I can reread anytime.
Ptolemy's gate was a bit boring at the start and took time to actually interest me but the other two were alot easier to understand.
My favourite characters are Bartimaeus and Lovelace.
Actually I was wrong. The last book is called Ptolemy's Gate and should now be in your local bookshops. It's out in the UK but I'm not sure if it's on sale elswhere.
I loved these books! just outta curiousity, is there gunna be a third one? Cause it is a trilogy isn't it? gaaaa. Do you guys know when the third one will come out if there is one?
I loved the first one. I was bored at the library one day, so I got up to about Chapter 5 on the second one. I didn't check it out because I had a bunch of other books at the time. Bard, it's giving you some history on the fall of Prague (and Bartimaeus). Was he telling that part from his perspective? I don't remember, but I think so.
