This is such a funny little poem! When you described the perfume as pungent, I immediately smelled the overpowering smell of too much perfume. The last line caught me off guard. "Of a troubled stomach behind that blues signed door" it is not helpful that I have a picture imagination. I imagine scenes when I read. But honestly this is such an amazing poem. I love it so much! Keep up the amazing work!!!

I really love light hearted poems, so yes, i love this poem a lot. It amazes me how people can write poetry about such simple things, things no one else would have thought about twice.
"How that perfume was meant to smell sweet upon greeting" is my favourite line of the poem. It links back to the second line where the "perfume" was described as pungent. I love that!!
I don't think the perfume and the poem has any underlying meaning, and i liked to interpret it as just a simple, easy poem.
