No Apologies

by Darkmoon158

I wrote this for a contest on another website but I hope you like it anyway.

No Apologies

You slipped me a note in Algebra; I should have known.
The bell rang loud and clear; Don't read it, it sang.
I ran through the open door into the hallway,
And opened the crumbled piece of scrap paper.
What I read broke me into little pieces,
Shattered in a million jagged edges that fell into a heap on the ground.
I sat on the ground and watched you walk past me,
Your head held high, so you wouldn't have to see me, and your hand connected to anothers.
I, frozen to the floor, looked at you, then the note and wept.
My tears falling onto the harsh unforgiving world.

Even though that was twelve years ago I still remember like it was yesterday,
You left me in the hallway, shattered.
My best friend walking beside you.
You never said a word to me.
Twelve years and no apologies from either of you.

Thanks guys I know break ups always end in notes that's why I wrote that. I was extremly bored in Algebra so I decided to write a poem about it. Everything worked out I guess. Again I say thanks no one likes anything I write so this was a real big self estem booster. :D

I liked it. It's wasn't really raw and deep or anything, but it still managed to show some good emotion.

LOL, I know this is true for the fact you are only 12 and that would be so horribly wrong.
I liked it.
Cliche' though, and it is always the best friend, why not the sister or something? I mean WHY ALWAYS THE BLOODY BEST FRIEND??? I liked it though, very discrpitive.

Watch your back, they are everywhere....

Are you serious about the Algebra thing? That is the most boring subject in the world, and why is it always algebra whre the notes are? That is how I met my boyfriend but still...

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.
