Life is short, I admit that. People always say to live life to the fullest, but, can we live life to the fullest even though we know we are humans? Yes humans. The answer to why we kill others, kill ourselves, torture and oppress the weak, trample on those who are lower than us and blame others for our mistakes is because we are humans.
The answer is short and simple, humans. Yet, behind that word lays complexities that hide the darkest and ugliest secret of mankind. It’s simply because we are humans. The word human represents many things; to those of ignorance it can mean justice, love, warmth, kindness, and sacrifice. To those of wise experience it can represent many crooked things, darkness, fear, lies, hate, and the intent to kill. Yet the word human, can hold hope and longing of the light.
It can also mean miracles, however, there is without a doubt a monster sleeping deeply inside us all. No, that is wrong. It’s not sleeping. Instead, it’s wide awake with its mouth wide open waiting to feast on us. His eyes are red with brutality, madness screams around it. Yet, its warmth and allure can’t be denied. Often time we found ourselves lost in its presence. No matter how many times we deny it, that monster exists inside us all.
Even I can’t deny that there are times when I would surrender to it. Because life is simply cruel, its cruelness was birthed from the wicked minds of humans. Yes, it all comes back to humans. Should we call ourselves humans even though we are the cause of suffering? Don’t they say that those who make others suffer are not qualified to call themselves humans? So what right do we possess to call ourselves humans even though we caused many to lose their life consciously or unconsciously?
Just like Ying and Yang, we, humans are created with two sides, good and bad. Darkness and light, living side by side with each other. Carrying the other’s substance in its body. A hint of darkness in light and a hint of light in darkness. That is how humans are. We are agathokakological. Sometimes the light wins, sometimes the darkness wins. Yet all of that depends not only on the individual but the society. Individuals can shape the form, but societies are the ones that fill it.
The more light essence being poured inside the form, the better the individual became. This also applies to the opposite. If darkness covers the majority of the form, the individual will fall. Soldiers and civilians are dependent on each other. Soldier can’t fight without purpose, civilians can’t live without safety. If civilians are deleted, soldiers would vanish. The same applies if the soldier is deleted, the civilians would vanish.
This problem also applies to our attitude. We are humans. Fragile and imperfect humans that only knows how to claim rewards for our deeds. However, it cannot be denied that because we are humans did we try to sacrifice many things. Cruelty is an act of kindness in its own way. The same goes to how kindness is an act cruelty in its own way. Never think that just because we help someone it is an act of kindness. But at the same time, never refuse to help someone with the lame excuse of helping others is not kindness but cruelty.
What I’ve said is simple. An act of kindness is cruelty in its own way means that if we help someone who has the intention of doing bad deeds, we are not giving kindness, instead we are spreading cruelty. The same for cruelty is an act of kindness in its own way means that if we were to fight against someone and causing that person to be heavily injured in the process is not cruelty, as long as the purpose of fighting is for the cause of saving someone.
We as humans are said to possess superior intelligence compared to other creatures along with our plentiful gift of communication and the superb function of our body. Yet why is it that most humans portray the opposite of intelligence? Intelligence comes in many forms. Often which are narrowed as intelligence based on one’s knowledge. But morality and etiquette is also a form of intelligence that is mostly lost throughout the passage of time.
Especially in today’s society, I’m merely a child who is ignorant of how the world works. Of how the gear spins and how the act of selfishness protects. But as a child that I am, I see the problems that many adults with power tend to leave unattended. They leave it as is because of its use to garner profit for them. I am merely a child that knows not the way of life. Yet I know the cruelness of my mind.
I know that an act of cruelness and obliviousness helps in creating profit. Because that is what I see, heard and learned. People of business minds, those of political careers, and those of powers have one thing in common, to take opportunity in others suffering. Why? Because the biggest lesson in life is not in successfulness but in failures. If that was not the case, then apple’s technology won’t only last for a short duration, today’s gadgets of touch screen won’t be too fragile and most important of all, humans won’t be pointing weapons at each other.

Fortunately, I only found one noticeable mistake here. Mostly because I'm not a grammar nut, but well done anyway:
-"If that was not the case, then apple’s technology won’t only last for a short duration, today’s gadgets of touch screen won’t be too fragile and most important of all, humans won’t be pointing weapons at each other." Capitalize Apple. (See? Incredibly simple.)
Now, to the fun part where everybody reads for some reason:
I'm not sure what this work was trying to do, but I think it was an opinion piece, and if it was it was certainly a very interesting opinion piece. It's a young man's pessimism, as I'd like to call it--the youth who has grown up believing the world to be good sees spots of black on the blank canvas, and immediately thinks that the painting is dark. Yet, it also carries the hope that pessimism usually suggests, the prayers that all this might lead to a better future (despite knowing that all the bad stuff won't leave either). Which is, of course, interesting.
Yet, I'd like to argue on the first part of the article, the first sentence:
"People always say to live life to the fullest, but, can we live life to the fullest even though we know we are humans?"
Now, while I think I understand what you're getting at, I will say that it makes no sense to me. What do you mean we can't live life to the fullest? Because we can't be a hundred percent good? Please, ask any hedonist, they'll chastise you on that front. To me, at least, living life to the fullest doesn't mean being good or doing good things--it's enjoying your life to the maximum extent and using all the time you have on this Earth "well". And that does not at all imply that you have to be good for that. People enjoy themselves from worldly sins all the time, and they're definitely not good, but the phrase "living life to the fullest" still stands for them.
But that's a minor complaint. I only ask you change that because I don't think it stands for what this article, a very good article, is trying to do. Perhaps exchange it for another tired cliche, like "make the world a better place?" Something along those lines.
Another thing. I don't think the title of this work matches the work. Just a personal opinion, but why is it called 'Twisted'? Twisted sounds like a name for an article detailing the life of serial killers. Maybe consider changing it, maybe don't, it doesn't matter but I still think you should consider it. ("Why There Will Never be World Peace" struck my mind immediately because it was almost hilarious).
Overall, well done and well written, and very intelligent as well. Good job.

So true and practical person you are. In review I can only say that your radiance and grace is being portrayed through your words. Marvelous penning and so very correct. I was mesmerized while reading. Amazing penning. You know motto of my life was what you have written..
" life is too short so we should live it to the fullest."
And how beautifully you explained all the situations. Hats off. Keep writing. Blessings!
Thank you for the review! This was just some random writing of mine and i appreciate you taking your time reading this.
Very genuine work. I love how this is a simple catharsis and yet, you bring out so many complexities. Really liked the mix of short and long sentences. You really made it flow well. Well done!
