This is a fan-fiction based off of the game Skyrim. Chapters will vary in size, so you are warned! Thank you for reading and enjoy!
(Keep in mind I am editing these old chapters and may forget some parts so if there are plot holes do tell me! Most likely I meant to fix them and never did when I was first writing this... monstrosity.)
Chapter Two - Terrsyphen
I never expected to be captured my first time into Skyrim. I mean, why? Just why? It's obvious I'm not an Imperial crested rat or a drunken Stormcloak. But who knows, I could get out of this. I did, however, meet Ulfric Stormcloak who was the leader of the Rebellion. That would be helpful later on. And then there was Lyranlica. One of the few Argonians that I've met in a long time.
She seemed rather talkative, Nordic, and like she was only playing a part. No one could be that chipper or… however she was acting but she did have piercings. Her scales were the color of obsidian. Shiny and dark. Eyes red like rubies, reminding me of the flowers back in Valenwood.
Skyrim was definitely a beautiful place to behold though. Mountains that could reach the heavens and caves that may enter Oblivion. The trees smelled wonderful but gave me a headache. I wondered if the ruins were as dangerous as many had said...
Lyranlica was babbling about flowers. I do remember reading about deathbells though. They make excellent poisons if one is in need of them. But I just like them. I don't use poisons much.
Those are an assassin's coy.
I had pretty eyes to her. That was surprising when she mentioned it. No one had ever told me that. I smiled widely in response though. Compliments, don't get them much.
When traveling here, I was not expecting to be captured by those Imperials. They were mostly sweaty men with beady eyes that looked at me like I was a bottle of mead to drink and then throw away like it meant nothing. They made me uncomfortable.
The Stormcloaks were no better with their racist comments and some were rude but at least they didn't seem like they were going to rape me for some small amount of personal pleasure.
I knew the just of the White-Gold concordat but it wasn't my business, I didn't live in this place. This realm. Of course I could hear the news from travelers and gather what I could from the rare book I read but it's not like I ever expected to go here and be captured by one of the armies.
Of course, I wasn't used to this land's cold, harsh climates and I still had yet to see some actual snowfall but that would come eventually, right? I was hoping to see some snow, as I had always heard some interesting stories about.
She seemed to know the land well and gave me recommendations as to where to go, be it not the best directions. I was only coming to Skyrim because I had a bounty to complete. Not to explore, even though that was rather tempting. She was nice though...
Shame, that she was the one I had the bounty on. I need the money but... she seemed so nice. I could hardly remember why the person wanted her dead in the first place and it was my luck that I would run into her already.
I mean, I don’t know why I hadn’t already ended her. Her cheery demeanor was rather odd, considering we had almost died but I guess giving her a little bit more time was enough for what happened in Helgen.
The town I was in was called Riverwood. A quaint little place overrun with chickens and cows with guards that were either drunk or had food along with them on patrol. It was not the most comforting thing but I had some hope that if the town was attacked, the guards could help.
The blacksmith was covered in welts and burns while locals were chopping wood or sitting on their porch, the sun beating down. Lyranlica had wandered into a general store. Hope she found something worth her time, at least.
After putting on my new armor, I sheathed my swords. One of the guards with food walked past and mumbled something about wailing coming from a place called Bleak Falls Borrow, just atop the mountain.
I had no map and no money. No way to get home after doing what I needed to do, even though I was starting to dread it. Then again, a ruin sat on top of a nearby mountain... that had to be worth something, right?
And I didn't mind the danger, I took bounties for a living after all. Someone wanted another person dead but didn't want to deal with the Dark Brotherhood, that what I was there for. I'd kill the person that was wanted and then get my reward and move on.
Of course, I had some standards. The person had to have a good reason for wanting the other dead. That's why I wasn’t the biggest fan of assassins. Very few had standards because they were trained to kill, no matter the cost that it would have on others.
I had met a few though that did think about what it would mean before taking a contract. I knew an assassin once. I hated them after they tried to literally stab me in the back.
I didn't have a choice though and it was enough contemplating. I needed the money and I needed time to think about the bounty on Lerry's head. I needed that time, in the least.

g'day ma'am/sir.
i am not the biggest fan of skyrim, so this is a warning if my review gets off of the original meaning or topic. i am also not the greatest with anything labeled as a fanfic, as the material it's based of off is usually something i don't understand well.
the next thing i noticed was some phrasing that is either repetitive or could be improved to make reading a little more fun. repetitive language can be done correctly if it is put together in a professional way, but this is more laid back.
stay cool, my dude.
Hello comrade!
i just read your first chapter and then this one and wow, not bad. As a fellow Skyrim fan I really like reading elder scrolls fan fictions.
This is an excellent recap however it is a little lengthy, may want to trim it down a bit. imperial crested rat is an excellent description.
You don't need to repeat this but seeing how there is further detail after it's up to you what you want to do with this line.
Excellent plot twist, it fits in really well with the text.
There is definitely areas to improve which i'm sure other reviewers will pick up on but other than that pretty good chapter, nice seeing Terrsyphen's perspective. yeah trying to remember a characters personality after a long time is pretty tough but i think you did a good job.
Keep writing!

Aw! Thank you Geo! I'll be sure to tag you in the future chapters! Your review made me smile.

This is NOT GOING TO BE A GOOD CHAPTER IN ANYWAY. Still trying, months after i stopped writing the story, to figure out Terry's personality. Again, it's not serious writing so don't be too harsh. Please?
