Float Away
Hello there formiliar midnight breeze
Filling me with passion comfort and eaze
Ill walk outside eyes shut and try forget the streetlights and cars
If you promise to carry me up sky high then take me to the stars
Just our little secret amoung the stars, something never to share
Ill trust in you for each night you take me away you return me with care
As we accend i close my eyes even tighter
As we raise into the above
What a nice reward for your little fighter
Sending out your message of love
Stretching my hands out,
spreading my fingers to let the night air slide through
I know nothing of pain, loss, hate or lonliness
You have taken that all away too
I will tell everyone i ever meet about these nights
But they would never ever believe
People prefer to hang on to there hate and fights
An such emotion they could not concieve
Now i can tell that we are out in space
I feel my limbs go weak while my muscles brace
There is no more breeze just stillness and awe
I opened my eyes and everything i saw
My whole life past, future, present
Every emotion ever felt uphoria to the unpleasant
I saw every person on the planet, every dream they ever was
All i could ever imagine rushing by me then suddenly a pause
An invisable force took me by the hand
It pulled me towards the furthest star
It set me down to land and simple asked do you know where you are?
I replied...yes....
This is the place i always came to when the world got too tough
When someone was yelling at me or when i simply had enough
When my day was bad and there was so much that made me affraid
This was the place i came that thought me it was all a sharade
This is the one place i came to only place where i felt free
I opened my eyes and i was back home the mysterious force was me.
The End

I really like the imagery in this poem. If you let yourself connect with the words you can almost feel yourself being carried off into the sky.
I myself enjoy the feeling that the quiet night air provides, though I know or at least get the impression that you are almost talking about sitting on your bed meditating with your window open. Letting the strong part of your inner self take you away from the external and into the world deep within your mind where you can frolic in past memories and quiet times.
Its a real escape, something I can relate to. The poem was a little hard to follow rhymically at times, but I like the expression in it.
