I wasn't keen on writing this because every time I write something you give me cold, hard criticism. It's usually harsh but its always the truth. I felt like I had to write this just to let you know how much you mean to me. We're an odd pair, you and I. There is so much that separates us. We come from two different worlds, in fact we're on two different continents. I don't know how you do it but every time I'm upset and I talk to you all the dents that I've acquired off late heal instantly.
There's an unearthly feel about you, sometimes I wonder if you're the ghost of a brilliant painter who somehow finds me interesting. I love how curious you are about Indian culture, its adorable. I just know I will get lost in one of your awesome hugs when I pick you up from the airport. You could come here and sort out everything that's messed up. I wish you would, even though I know it's going to take a while. I miss skyping you, I miss that brilliant toothpaste advertisement worthy smile and how you sing in between our conversations like background music. I'd love to watch you paint some day, that would be amazing. I'd love to get sky with you and paint. Paint everything around us, turn the room into our own canvas.
When I talk to you I see yellow because you're a boy like sunshine. Whenever I'm upset and you calm me down I feel warm orange all around me. Every time you tell me that you have to leave I see an ocean of blue wash over me. Green is what I see on the ceiling before my eyelashes hug each other because I miss you so much. Whenever you tell me I'm pretty I hope they won't have to scoop me off the ground from all the pink I feel. You're too nice to me. Your honesty which is usually blatant turns everything white in the room. When you tell me you love me my heart skips a beat and my world turns crimson. It'd be art all day with you, everywhere. Hundreds of colors splashed on a canvas making everything that is abstract crystal clear.

Hey there I'm gonna review!

So, this is really beautiful. And I am very picky about romance as I have said to someone before, but this captivates me, this made me want to read on. This is what I think of when I think of love. And all this because you wrote one thing, you wrote one thing clear and throughout: Truth. At least what I believed to be truth. It seemed to be like you wrote that from your mind. From when you were just sitting, or laying on your bed thinking of the person. It connected with me not because of all the plays on colors (some of which I think could be revised) and not because of the beautiful way you ended it, it connected me because when I read it, it was like I was reading your thoughts, it felt so real.

So, with that said here are my edits/revision:

"I don't know how you do it, but every time I'm upset and I talk to you all the dents that I've acquired off late heal instantly." -- I think this sentence is long and adds some unnecessary words. Here is how I would edit it: "I don't know how you do it, but every time I'm upset and I talk to you all the dents bruising me heal instantly." -- It actually doesn't have to be this simple, but you definitely need to change it to be a bit shorter or just phrased differently.

"I'd love to get sky with you and paint. Paint everything around us, turn the room into our own canvas." I think this would be better "I'd love to paint the sky with you" or something like that. Just not "get" the sky preferably because put in that manor it did not really make sense. But, if you want to keep it I think it would work better if it were italicized and with emphasis that you are saying figuratively "getting the sky" not literally.

"When I talk to you I see yellow because you're a boy like sunshine." when I first saw this I was like "oh man" because it seemed rather simple for the amazing things you can do with the color yellow :P (my favorite color) "When I talk to you your shine streaks of yellow because you're like sunshine," would be one way. (There is no need to say "you're a boy like sunshine".) I think it could just be more great with a bit more description/imagery.

"Green is what I see on the ceiling before my eyelashes hug each other because I miss you so much." -- I don't know what you should change it to, but this doesn't work. I think that you should try to find a different way to use the color to relate to missing him.

"Whenever you tell me I'm pretty I just hope they won't have to scoop me off the ground, from all the pink I feel." -- I think this is find, a little long so maybe look at it again, but it's fine in my opinion.

And again about the honesty turning everything white, I think it can be much more descriptive and imaginative. Why not "Your honesty which is usually blatant is like a blank canvas white and untouched,"? I think you need to try going back and adding more imagery and just you dreaming, I think it's too real that you're not soaring, this needs to soar in reality. :P If that makes any sense.

I like the ending! It's a good poem overall, so good I even thought it was a story :P! I love the way you wrote it, I wrote some poetry way back that way. :)

Anyways, Great job!

--Keep dreaming on!

thanks so much. I wrote this in a rush, this guy is in Argentina. I wanted him to read it as soon as I finished it so I didn't take my time. And yes the whole thing is entirely honest :) thanks so much xxx

On sort but please don't use bold throughout the entire poem. I can't tell if there are stanzas but if there are they are way to long. Each stanza should only be a few sentances. I'm not really sure who you were writing this for. It should always be apparent to the reader who the poem is for/about.

Oh god dear there is a lot I have to say. First, DO NOT USE BOLD THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE THING. It just makes people want to close it ands go find something else to read. Also this is a poem? The stanzas are too long and the arey more like paragraphs. I thought this was a short story or something. If you want this to be a poem make sure each stanza is only 3 or 4 short sentences. Another thing I want to say, what is the meaning of this. Like who are you talking to? I couldn't figure it out when I was reading the whole thing, That is not a good thing as a writer. It should be clear to the reader who you are writing to or about.

Well that is all for now!

Hi! I'm Spark, and I'm here to review you this review day.

Oh my goodness, dear. First of all--remove the bold. It does nothing for your work, and it almost detracts from it. It hurts my eyes, to be honest, and makes me not want to read your poem. :/ Which makes me sad!

Also, the formatting on your poem is not a poem format. I'm not going to do the whole thing, but I'll get you started with the formatting you need to use. I'm also going to correct a lot of the grammar mistakes I've noticed in this stanza.

I wasn't keen on writing this
because every time I write something,
you give me cold, hard criticism.
It's usually harsh, but it's always the truth.
I felt like I had to write this:
just to let you know how much you mean to me.
We're an odd pair, you and I.
There is so much that separates us.
We come from two different worlds,
in fact we're on two different continents.

I don't know how you do it,
but every time I'm upset, and I talk to you
all the dents that I've acquired of late, heal instantly.

Do you see how that flows better? It's a lot easier on the eyes, dontcha think?

Onto the next problem. Grammar. You have a lot of convention mistakes that can easily be fixed. I fixed a few, but I want you to work on the rest yourself. Think about why it makes sense the way it is above, and read it outloud. That's how I always fix my grammar if I'm not sure, by reading it outloud. And you can always message me if you're not sure!

For my last critique, I'm going to comment on the story itself. To be honest, it's really cliche. Two people from different worlds, they know it'll never work, but they can't stay away from each other... We've all heard it. What I want to do, is challenge you to make this story your own! What's unique about your story? In addition, it gets really tell-y after the first paragraph. You just start rattling off facts about the person, which makes it really boring and tedious to read. Why not show the reader these stories instead?
Changing
I love how curious you are about Indian culture, its adorable.

to something a little more creative, such as
I often find you, pouring over books
indian culture jumping off the pages
in an adorable focused way.

Okay, that was a terrible example, but you get the idea!

Keep working on that stuff, okay? This could and WILL be a great poem!

I don't want you to think it's all bad though, because I can tell how passionate you are about the person you're writing about! And that's the most important thing to me. Passion in the poem. I honestly wouldn't care if your poem was
"akdjd;lsjfdas;ljfdsjflksdj" as long as you were passionate. However, now that you have the passion, why not get the rest?

Anyway, if you have any questions, drop me a line! xxx Spark

Dude, Bold, Why? Fix it DX.

It's usually harsh, but its always true.

This means: It is usually harsh, but it possesses always the truth. I believe you want it is again. That means it needs an apostrophe.

I've acquired off late heal instantly.

of = preposition non place. The United States of America, the side of the wall.
off = prepositional place. Off the table, off the ground.
I really want to hear more about that line, the dents you've acquired as of late, I feel like that is really the imagery that's best put in this poem so far.

I would suggest that you break this up into lines because it could make it flow easier, quicker. Also it will give you more control over the reader's eye and you can make it a visual poetry that way by having the edge of the poem create waves, or calming sways.

Overall, I think you should drop most of the first paragraph and keep the second two. They are really where you get into it and they are very beautiful. I hope to read more of your work and see you improve through it.

I'm not sure who this is about but it's clear they really mean a lot to you. This has a lot of raw emotion in it but the way it's conveyed through beautiful wording is astounding. This line: "my eyelashes hug each other" really jumped out at me because I liked the use of personification. Great job with this.

And the way you use colors to describe how you feel really shows your true ability as a writer. And the part about painting, especially the line, "make the room our own canvas" is also amazing!

I really liked reading this!! You're an awesome writer and I wish to read more of you soon~~

Keep writin' and rockin',

~~Ayden~

Thanks so much Ayden :) means so much coming from someone as awesome at writing as yourself :) xxxx
