You are gone, I think.
Your books lie like islands on the floor,
The emerging dawn seems uneven.
This is not a cry of emotion -
No grand gestures in dying light
and breathless forevers here.
This is a sigh of not quites,
of things just glimpsed,
then disappeared.
Scrubbed out sky light
spilling through the window,
the spiteful hiss of ice in water.
No great loss, no great gain -
fleeting once-maybes in an airless room.
A kiss shared, then carelessly lost.

I really liked this piece.. I'm not sure if I fully grasped everything in it (all that you would, as the writer), but all that I did catch took my breath away. Beautiful imagery, simply expressed emotions that open to a wide expanse of complexity. I often see pieces dealing with this topic, but not with the sweet delicacy that you have expressed it in this. They are usually garishly blatant, lamentations meant to be pitied in public. This was soft, gentle, carried a depth to it that many don't. Very well done. Enjoyable poem.

Gosh, I'm not even sure what to say about this. It gives me such odd images in my head. I've seen it in the un-reviewed part for some time and (rather guiltily, may I add) read it and clicked away. I'm partly sure it's because there isn't much to say. This is an odd little poem with contradictions inside it I could not dream of.
I liked it, in some weird way. I felt like I lost something I really never needed, but at the same time, as if I had lost the most important thing ever and was trying to make it seem like I hadn't ever wanted it. That's what I meant by contradictions. Anyway, it's a poem that made me think. So, applause for you! I liked it. I've nothing much more to say, for there isn't any way to improve this - at all!
