The Vampire's Story Volume 2: The Truth Chp.1

I hope you enjoy the first chapter!!! I worked hard on it, reviews are welcome!!

"I love you,Steven," I whispered, not knowing how the words slipped out. Idiot, I thought as I crawled off of him, how can you tell him something that isn't true. No, I do love him, but not like I love Andrew.

I saw the tears in his blue eyes well up as they toppled down his cheek, he drew me closer to him. "No, I can't do this. At least, not with Andrew laying right there." I said sharply, trying to pull away from him. He was stronger though, and I could tell he was angry. My fangs ached as he put my lips to his, I could tell what he was thinking. And it wasn't a very pretty thought.

"Get out of my head!" he barked, pushing me off of him. Across his blue eyes a hint of red flashed, leaving his eyes looking scary and mysterious.

"What's wrong with you, Steven?" I asked, my eyes straining to see behind his mask, "You finally get the girl of your dreams, and now what? You aren't satisfied?"

"No Callie. I'm the one who's satisfied, you however just can't seem to get over my stupid brother. But my brother is dead!" he said, baring his fangs. I tore my gaze from his eyes so he wouldn't see the tears running down my cheeks.

"Where are you going, princess?" he snarled, grabbing for my arm.

"Home!" I said as walked towards my car.

"But everyone in town thinks your dead!" he screamed, running after me.

"Well, then I'm going to go to a different town, and find a different "boyfriend". I'm going to start a new life,"

"Run away princess, just remember I can and will track you down," Steven said, pulling his hand from my car. I closed my eyes as he walked away, knowing he would do something terrible to Andrew's grave. I put the key in the ignition and drove silently down the road that would lead me to a better life.

I awoke the next morning to the sound of pounding. I sat upright and found Steven staring at me with a pathetic puppy dog face. I nodded to him and he climbed in beside me. "So looks like I found my lost puppy," he said, wrapping his arm around me.

"Steven I can't be with you, and I miss Andrew. I like you and all, but I just feel uncomfortable." I said, shaking him off of me.

"Fine, if you miss him so much, we'll just have to have him visit us then," he said he grabbed the steering wheel and in twenty minutes, we were home.

*****

"Meet my friend, the Ouija board. With it, we can speak with Andrew." Steven said, pulling a battered game box from the cupboard. We walked to what was once Andrew's room and placed it on the coffee table.

Think of Andrew, he coaxed in my mind. Think of his smile, his hair, and his laughing eyes. But most of all, think of how much you love him. I repeated these thoughts in my mind as a thin green mist began to swirl around me. Then as if by instinct, I called out to him. "Andrew, I call upon your spirit to grace upon us. We wish to speak with you, to ask about our futures, and to embrace with your well being."

"I am here," the words on the Ouija board shuffled into place as I read the message.

"Andrew, is there any way I can speak with you in person?" I asked hopefully, ignoring the glare Steven was giving me.

"Yes," the words spelled out, "Look at Steven."

I turned and saw Steven's face changing, to... Andrew's face! I reached out a hand and embraced him, feeling warm tears drip down his face. I kissed him everyplace that was visible. "I love you," I cried, " And I am never letting go!"

"I have to warn you, Callie. You are in great danger, leave this town. I will speak to you through Andrew's body, from time to time. I love you, but I have to go now. She is watching us, and she will try to kill you. I love you." The last traces of Andrew slipped from Steven's face and I grasped at the ghostly hand that was heading to the board.

"Don't leave me Andrew! I love you!" tears of sadness rolled down my face, "I'll save you from the creature that scares you so! And I will bring you back, trust me!" I released the hand and hugged my knees. Run Callie, she is here! I heard Andrew whisper in my mind as his voice faded. Run!

"Stupid girl!! You steal both of them, and so now I steal your soul!" A raspy voice screamed, followed by ghastly laughter.

"S-Steven, tell me that was you!" I screamed, my voice shaking.

"Ah, the poor deary. She didn't see Steven leave the room. Well, he will be no help at all. But for the remaining seconds of your life, he can watch you suffer!"

"Ashley, if that is you this is so not funny!" I screamed, trying not to have a panic attack.

"Ashley? Why I am certainly not Ashley! I am her creator. Why, didn't your "friends" tell you how they became vampire's ?" The voice barked.

"No," I said searching for the door handle or window latch to escape. Before I knew what was happening, I felt strong hands wrap around my throat and pull me down. And then, everything went black.

***********

I shook my legs and realized they weren't tied to anything, but that I was sitting on the stone bench in the garden. "Steven?" I called, my words rang and sounded as if I was the only living creature in this universe.

"Callie? Oh my god, it's you! Look at you, you haven't aged a day!" It was a squeaky voice now, something that I recognized.

"Oh shut up Alexa, you know Callie died two months ago." I heard a deeper voice say.

"Abby, it really is her. Look, do you see her now?" Abby and Alexa, weren't they my friends? I had begun ignoring them when I started dating Andrew. This is freaky, I thought in my mind.

"Oh my god, Alexa are in one of your creepy dreams again?" Abby asked, puzzled.

"No! And besides, I think she remembers us. See?," Alexa said, pointing a finger.

I sat there flabbergasted as they ran up to me and gave me hugs. "We missed you!" they cried.

"But I am dead. I am not your friend anymore. And get off of me, for if you hug me any longer, you will die too." The words that flew out of my mouth sounded sharp and bitter, and I could not control what came out last, "Goodbye,"

My fangs ached as Alexa pulled away from me, confused and said, "What happened." And that was when I realized I was starving. I hadn't eaten in days. I stood up and slowly backed away from them, only to have one of them grab my arm and pull me back. And that was when I lost it.

Not able to control my hunger I lunged at them and sank my teeth into Alexa's neck feeling the warm hot blood pouring into my mouth. Human blood. The blood that changes a vampire forever, blood. I blocked out the screams that were coming out of both of their mouths.

I drank what was left of Alexa's blood and then dropped her limp body to the ground. She was dead. And I was still hungry. I grabbed Abby before she had the chance to run away, then I did the same to her.

I dropped Abby's limp body to the ground and saw Steven clapping his hands behind me. I wiped the wet blood off of my chin as he came over and observed me. "You my friend, are a hunter."

"Oh no! What's happened to me? I don't eat humans. I eat animal's. And animals only." I cried as I fell to the ground and held my knees "I've disappointed Andrew, now he won't ever speak to me again. I love him though!"

"You have never disappointed me Callie, Cheyenne is controlling you now. You can't control it. I'm sorry, I should have warned you earlier." I peered to look at Steven and saw Andrew's face instead.

"Cheyenne?" I asked.

"She's the creepy lady who created Ashley." Andrew said looking around the garden. I nodded and watched as his face disappeared from sight.

"I love you," I whispered standing up. I love you too, Andrew's voice echoed in my mind. Be safe, ask Steven to help you get Cheyenne out of you. He'll know what to do, and if he doesn't he'll find a way to help. He loves you too Callie, tell him you love him too. It will make him want to help. I love you.

I repeated what Andrew said to me in my mind. I watched as Steven sat up from his position on the grass. His head slightly turned towards me I said, "Steven, I love..... you."

His gaze broke from my feet and looked up to my face, not my eyes. But my lips. "I love you too." He ran his fingers through his jet black hair and tried to stand up. "Why do I black out for like, five minutes sometimes?"

"Oh, Andrew talks to me through you. It's comfortable that way. I don't know why."

"Because you love me," he said, his eyes steady. "You do love me, right?"

"Mmmm..." I nooded clucthing the pine branch that swooped over my head.

"Cool, so... can we kiss?" he asked, gracefully getting up from his seat. He leaned closer to me, our chests touched and he breathed in my face as he spoke the next words. "when you want me to stop, just say when."

I locked my mouth as he pressed his lips to mine. I could feel happiness rush through him as I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer. We hadn't kissed like this since, well, since I had first met him.

Hi there!

Now, I didn't read any of the chapters before this, so forgive me for missing any details you previously mentioned. ^^

This definitely moved almost too fast for the reader to comprehend. You could definitely take time to describe how she felt as she walked out the door and what Steven did, you could explain the Ouija Board better (It's Ouija, I believe.) and take your time to create a creepy atmosphere, you could definitely, definitely not jump on the romance bandwagon at the end.

They kissed way too soon for my comfort. I mean, her boyfriend just died. Even if she and Steven built up some feelings for each other before this, hardly any girl would love another man if her true love says to. Maybe I'm confusing myself with the MC's character. Steven seems way too anxious to make out with his brother's girlfriend. And Andrew is taking this fact almost too lightly. At least have your MC feel guilty for kissing Steven in front of Andrew like that.

The vampires drink animal blood?

That's all I can really say since I haven't read any other part to this. I hope I helped out at least a little, even if if means reassuring you as the author that I'm on the right track, haha.

Keep writing!

Bonjour! I really like this plot. I almost started crying in some places!

Cassie9960 wrote:Idiot, I thought as I crawled off of him, how can you tell him something that isn't true.

I really like how you tell us what she is thinking, but I would suggest that you use italics.

"Get out of my head!"

Can she read minds? This confused me.

Cassie9960 wrote:I'm going to start a new life,"

It would end with a period. Not a quotation mark because that is the end of the sentence, you aren't adding how she said it or anything.

Sorry to cut this so short! (Mom is telling me to go to bed.) I think that you should work on explaining what is going on in greater detail. I was confused throughout a lot of it. You never want the reader to be confused! Keep writing, and PM me when you get the next chapter!
