The Stain

You remember it so clearly
the fun, the laughs, no pain
Until the single, fateful slip
which made that damned stain
in the carpet, in the wood
your house was it's to claim
So up go your sleeves and here come your towels
But nothing can kill the stain
Yours sprays and your towels try their best
and yet the curse doth remain
until the plauge is everywhere
so you set your house aflame
the ashes ride on the wind
                                                                                                                            your body on the train
until your new floor is on your feet
Almost, but not quite, the same
But what? How!? In the corner over there
                                 an ash, not so tame
so you keep your guests out of that room
                                 as if twas just game

Because you know, the past cannot die
and nothing can kill the stain.

I really liked this piece. The way you made it rhyme was good, although I didn't quite get why you made it all in different places... that was confusing and looked like a technical error. (unless it was....)
Anywho, I really liked it and I hope you do more.
I like how you left us wondering....
Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
TRAV

T'was a technical error- last time I try to upload from an iPod :P
And thanks for the comments

Y'know, sometimes a family is a mutant superhuman clown with cartoony powers, a hyperactive shapeshifter created in a lab, the ghost of an artificially created being who only exists for exposition, a cat who is an eldritch god for some reason, and an emo guy who doesn't canonically exist
