This is cute, and I can certainly relate to it as the audience. However, I do think this song is a bit contradictory between verses, and so I wonder if this song is long enough. Or just unclear and need some editing!
The general gist of the song is that the speaker is still attached to this person no matter how many times said person hurts them. Totes makes sense. But then it's mentioned that the speaker won't wait around anymore, and this usually implies that... they're going to walk away. Meaning they can do something. So. Contradiction! I was a little confused.
I do feel this message itself is not original, so I wouldn't give any points, if you will, on originality. It's short and cliche. But I'm going to go with it.
And to add to the confusion, the last line says the speaker won't let the person beat the speaker. But the song's been implying (at least to me) that the speaker is weak and lets that person walk all over them. The speaker can't do anything. So the last line suddenly, out of no where, seems to threaten the person by saying they can do something. And it sends my brain into some weird paradox or something timey-wimey, wibbly-wobbly.
It's a cute song nonetheless. And like I said, I could totes understand and relate to it.
