E - Everyone

The worst day of my life.

The worst day of my life was when my favorite uncle died. It was two years ago,  I was getting ready to go to school when  I heard my mom crying. As soon as I heard her I left my room and headed for the living room. When I got to the living room I saw my mom on the couch she was crying. I asked  her why she was crying, and she told me that my uncle had died at 1am that  morning. That day I wore all black to school. I didnt talk to anyone because I thought they would be mean. But when I did talk to someone they werent mean they were real sincere. That day was the worst day of my life.

Hello! Its Infinity here :)

I'll try my best to review your story, stories aren't really my specialty but i'll make suggestions where i can but I think the reviews below have pretty much covered the major things.
Firstly I'm very sorry about your uncle, it's never easy to lose a loved one, stay strong.

For your story, i think you need to make it sound more like a story in the sense that it sounds like you're just telling us what happened like facts and not really going into detail describing, describe what you felt like, what you felt like doing that day, the shock/anger/sadness emotions, actions you took, how the whole day effected you.
I know it may be personal to you but it would be good if you added in the good memories you had with him, and what made the worst day of your life that bit more terrible. Add things that will really make the reader relate and feel then sadness with you.

The grammatical errors have already been highlighted by the reviews below me.

Overall a personal and emotional short story just edit it a bit, it has potential, well done :)

I`m sorry to hear about your uncle. Man, that must be tough. But listen, when something bad happens to me, I put on my headphones and jam out to the worse song I can find on there. Something that will reflect how I feel inside. (It`s usually Pain by Hollywood Undead.) But never,EVER push people away when you are hurting inside... That`s the worse thing you could do! People were made to be there for other people. Open up and you will find some of your best friends. Whatever this site is for writing, not advice.. But watch for the grammar and the spelling. Other than that, it was good.
Keep your head up!

Ouch, sounds like it must have been a bad, bad day.

The day I heard my dad had died was a pretty bad one for me . . .

But anyway, about the review.

Grammar: Okay, your grammar is really pretty good, your problem is all in the typing. I can tell you're not really natural with the keyboard, and it makes your typing full of typo's.

But overall it's pretty good. (I'd advise you to get a spell checker if you want to clean it up automatically)

You really need to break this into multiple paragraphs.

Spelling: Your spelling, as mentioned, has typo's. Here they are.

mom on the couch she was crying

You need a colon or semi-colon after couch, it reads wrong otherwise.

1am that morning.

It would be appropriate to mention what he died of maybe. And '1am' is spelled '1.am.'.

to school. I didnt

The 'didnt' needs an apostrophe. Turning it into 'didn't'.

becauseI thought

You need to separate 'because' and 'I'.

they werent mean they were real sincere

'Werent' needs an apostrophe to turn it into 'weren't'. And you need a semi-colon or colon after 'mean'.

Overall, nice work. You brought your feeling across very, very well. I enjoyed it.

Keep it up!

(A little editing and there won't be much to say about it - other than 'nice work!'.)

Hey brebre, it's pretty hard to critique a piece based on a personal experience.
So I'll try to tip-toe around the harsh critique and give you my impressions.

"The worst day of my life was when my favorite uncle died."

Immediately you had my attention here. It was a simple opening, not an overwhelming introduction, just a fact that relates to everyone. The loss of a loved one.
This sentence suddenly made me want to read more...

" It was two years ago, I was getting ready to go to school when I heard my mom crying. As soon as I heard her I left my room and headed for the living room. When I got to the living room I saw my mom on the couch she was crying. I asked her why she was crying, and she told me that my uncle had died at 1am that morning."

I think maybe a little more description would've helped here.
A lot of the emotional events are taking place, but are jotted down like facts.
-this is just my opinion, I could be wrong..

"That day I wore all black to school. I didnt talk to anyone becauseI thought they would be mean. But when I did talk to someone they werent mean they were real sincere. That day was the worst day of my life."

Again, I would really have liked more description here.

So far I see a person dealing with the loss of a loved one, I can see the hurt and almost disbelief this person is going through.. but I don't feel the moment he/she was told the person he/she loved died, I can't see the people around him/her reacting to this or how different the world's become since his/her loss.

I'm not sure if this is based on a personal experience or not,
but if it is, I'm genuinely sorry for your loss
and I bet your uncle was really cool :)

Hi Bre,

As a story this is extremely short. All you write about here is that the narrator's uncle died and s/he is feeling upset about it. I feel, You have to put in some descriptions and more acute feelings concerning it.

The worst day of my life was when my favorite uncle died. It was two years ago,I was getting ready to go to school when i I heard my mom crying.

You have to capitalize the "I"'s always.

As soon as I heard her I left my room and headed for the living room. When I got to the living room I saw my mom on the couch, she was crying.

this is oddly worded here. the lines don't flow. Try rewording it.
I askedher why she was crying, and she told me that my uncle had died at 1:00 in the morning.
*asked her

I didnt talk to anyone because i thought they would be mean. But when I did talk to someone they weren't mean, they were real sincere. That day was the worst day of my life.

Why did the narrator though the other students in school would be man to him? try explaining that a bit more. And when the narrator did talk with the other students, he found they were sincere, then why was it still his worst day?
Explain/describe a bit more.

Keep writing.

Ok thanks but I am new here and I don't know how to edit it:/

Its the worst day because MY UNCLE DIED!
