I wasn’t poor, being not rich
Life was fine, thanks to hope
All that changed, owing to muse,
With one ‘novel’ passion pure
Affairs I had, dozen of them,
Unknown to the lovers of books
Shunned as by publishing folks
Manuscripts of them make pillows
In my bed to cause nightmares,
With hope dead, I can’t dream
Now I’m poor, robbed of hope.

Hello! Are you a professional author? That is really cool! My name is Hop! I see my friend CATS got to you before I could! If you read this, please give me some grace as I am not the best at reviewing!! Thank you so much! Now, to the review!!!!
This poem is short and sweet and I love it! I see how the first two lines and the last two lines are the complete opposite. I find that cool! I really love your poem! I would love to see more of your work! But if not, I won't throw a fit!!!!!!!!!
Please keep up the good work and stay amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love,
Hop
Wow! A real author!? Nice to meet you! My name is CATS, and I'll be leaving a short review on this poem. From first glance, it looks nice! So let's start, shall we?
First, I love how it is short and sweet, not too long of a boring read. The first four lines are an amazing start. The hope in the poem was really talking to me! I think you are a great author, btw.
The next four lines are great too! Are you a poet? Or an author in general? It talks about your journey as an author. Really inspires me. The last few lines are a great finish, like the last touch on a great art piece. It is mysterious, and dark, in a great way.
Overall, I think this poem is absolutely touching and fantastic and I look forward to your publishings! You've earned a new fan, my friend! Happy Writing!
Love,
CATS
