I Cry the Mist of the Rainbow

by Anonymous

Deep inside of my heart
I feel so afraid,
alone, and abandoned.

I cry the mist of the rainbow.

I feel like the world is revolving around me
and no one seems to understand my perception of life.

I cry the mist of the rainbow.

In a world left forgotten
beyond murky depths of silent shores.

I cry the mist of the rainbow.

In Africa where the sun burns
like fire and the flames scorch the earth.

I cry the mist of the rainbow.

Where a young child is left
wandering in the streets with no food to eat.

I cry the mist of the rainbow.

Where religion and spirituality is deprived
and the mystical magic of beauty is severed.

I cry the mist of the rainbow.

In a nation where the "American Dream," seems so bountiful
but still my people walk the desolate streets with no home.

I cry the mist of the rainbow.

The origin of a country and great democracy where people
laugh and stare with no aide or intention to soothe the pain
of the sick and needy.

I cry the mist of the rainbow.

We have all forgotten love.
We have all forgotten peace.
We no longer reverence beauty
but inspire the cause of destruction.

We are all drowning in the water,
afraid to know the truth and depth of love.

We have taken the freedom of religion out of schools,
but we call ourselves the nation of religious tolerance.

We have forsaken God in the leadership of our political system,
but two of our most honored phrases of our great country are
"God Bless America," and "In God We Trust."

One may deem to ask why I cry the mist of the rainbow.
I cry the mist of the rainbow because the rainbow cries for me.

In a world left forgotten
beyond murky depths of silent shores.

I cry the mist of the rainbow.

I thought that this was a very beautiful quote. It was deep and meant for deep thinkers also. Very good.

We have all forgotten love.
We have all forgotten peace.
We no longer reverence beauty
but inspire the cause of destruction.

I also very much enjoyed this piece. I enjoyed it so much because of the truth to it. I don't think anyone could of said it better. Again, great job.

One may deem to ask why I cry the mist of the rainbow?
I cry the mist of the rainbow because the rainbow cries for me.

THis was my absolute favorite stanza in the whole poem. This, I believe, was the most beautiful quote. This was what "I cry the mist of the rainbow" was leading to? I think that it was beautiful.

Once again, you have accomplished a beautiful peice! I did not find any punctuation errors, nor grammar, nor spelling. I am now a fan of your work and you can count on a review of every one of you pieces! Great job, keep writing! *Runs off to review more of your works*

Poetry is a phantom script telling how rainbows are made and why they go away.
