Timmy here

Firstly, welcome to YWS. This is a great place to post your works and get feedback on them. I hope you stick around. :3

Onto the piece.

When I read through this, the only thing I see are notes. Like someone took the basic, basic thesis of their article and scrambled it together in a mess of ideas that don't formulate an essay. I think I can see what you're trying to put across, the law of creativity and all that, but you're not explaining or going in detail with any of this. An essay is written to prove a point, yes? To show your readers why you are correct in what you're saying, or merely to present an argument... whether being completely disconnected, or putting your personal feelings into the mix, as well. Whatever the case, that's the point of an essay. To prove something. This isn't organized well enough to tell the reader anything much, and doesn't have the formula inside that an essay should be composed of. This article may be of assistance for you to discover or just re-tell you how to correctly write an article with the proper formula. There is a flexibility with essays, but not as much as with fiction. There is a tested and proven formula to produce a convincing essay. And what you have above is only scratching the surface of what you can do with your idea, and needs to follow more of a structure than what you have.

So you do have the foundation of your essay, though. You show your three points - "professional, aesthetic, and consignment", and you give us one sentence which is meant to explain each. You have a good start. But this needs more. One sentence is only the beginning of what you need to give us. Expand on these ideas, convince us to agree with you in what you say, educate us on the law of creativity. And the only way you can do that is by pulling this apart, and giving us a more in-detail explanation for each of the three points you have.

You have a good start with what you have, and I can see this as a good essay. You just need to flesh it out to make this complete.

Great job! And if you have any questions or comments about my review or YWS, please let me know. :3

Hey~

I'm going to make this short, but hopefully I'll be able to get my point across clearly enough. Basically, when I first read through this, it seemed to be more of a jotting down of quick notes rather than a complete essay/article. An essay has a central topic to it; it aims to convince its readers regarding this central topic. An introduction with a thesis statement, body paragraphs supporting your thesis statement, and a conclusion tying all the loose ends--that makes an essay. From what I can see so far, this is basically a scattered introduction with line breaks strewn over the place. You have a good starting point, an idea you want to work with. But if you are aspiring for your message to reach your readers, you will need more than an introduction. You need an argument, a basic explanation, structure....

Let me try and talk about this differently. Basically, here you're trying to define creativity, am I right? You are talking about creativity like it is a human construction, but you have nothing to back this statement with. I could argue over this statement, but seeing as I have no idea what your viewpoint regarding the subject is, I cannot. Besides this, I also found the piece to be incredibly sparse in what it already contains. I don't see how the 'professional' factor is a factor in creativity. Also, are you referring to the amount of creativity here? Creativity in what form? This is such a very broad concept, but it remains unexplored, which I'm going to have to ask you to do! You have a basic idea; build onto it. I'd like to see what becomes of this piece.

I hope this helped; buzz me if you need anything, and welcome to YWS!

Cheers,

~Pomp
