Thinking of you.

I catch myself sometimes… thinking of nothing but you.
Tell me, how does one inform a heart that it’s through?

How does one escape when all other hope is gone?
When you know it’s for the best, but your heart holds on.

As much as I try, it’s a frustrating, and daunting task.
Making myself forget what I fought for, what I wanted to last.

It makes me sick to think that it was all in vain.
But maybe this way I’ll save myself further pain?

I keep telling myself it would be best to block you out.
Yet, the thought terrifies me that you shouldn’t doubt.

So here I am… all this time later, still unsure of what to do.
And here I am still unable to stop myself from thinking of you.

Hey Amberla!
This is great. it sounds Shakespearean and if you made this up yourself I think you have a very bright future. So now for the faults. First off it is to short in my opinion . when I look at poems like this I see about ten verses. Although its six verses, I am quite picky with that when I am reviewing poems like this. The poem appears to be telling the story. In my opinion I want a more in depth story in this poem. If you start with a story you should always continue it. I can isolate that it is telling the story of your heart with a guy? Butapart from that great work. Keep writing poems and eventually I will be ale to review one without any faults :)

Yours,

Jordan :)

When your heart gets pierced with arrows, don't rip them out and pierce those around you in retribution for your hurt. You'll only unnecessarily wound others and bleed to death yourself.
