I wish that someone could answer my questions

I wish that people were drawn to me

I wish that I didn't have to spend so much time on my own

I wish that people would approach me, instead of turning away

I wish that someone would tell me that I mean a lot to them

Why do I worry so much about what others think of me,

instead of worrying about what I think of myself?

I wish that I could find clothes that looked good on me

I wish that I could go out without makeup

I wish that I could look in the mirror and smile

I wish that someone would tell me that I'm beautiful

Why do I care so much about my appearance,

when I couldn't care less about how others look?

I wish that I was confident enough to believe that people can like me

I wish that I could be proud of my accomplishments

I wish that I felt good about myself

I wish that someone would tell me that I'm not worthless

Why am I not the person I want to be,

when I know I can?

I like your poem :)

I like how it starts with "I wish" and "why" and "when" throughout the poem. I think the consistency gives the poem effect.

Well done!! Keep it up!! :D

This is one really good piece. :D
The statements that you make using this "I wish" are questions that many people often ask.
It's something that many people feel genuinely.
I like the flow or the poem and especially the last two lines;

Why am I not the person I want to be,

when I know I can?

Beautifully thought and written. :D
I'm looking forward to read more from you.
Keep writing.

Wow. This was an amazing piece of poetry. I loved the repitition of 'I wish' and the questions in between. I loved that it had very steay rhythm while still having a freeverse poem.

As far as what you are saying, I know I don't know you but I have a feeling someone does care about you. You are beautiful, even if you aren't a supermodel. People can like you, but it will e hard for them to if you hide. Just be yourelf, and if that's not enough for them then they aren't worth your time.

Whoa, i like this piece of yours. There is the feeling of wanted to be accepted but concealing his/her own identity. But I must say that you should be able to show who you really are and i know that it would be worth while as long as you don't step someone else. You will be able to express yourself freely and the people around you will admire you,..

Keep going,..
=)

Oh, Brightlord Tumul! How unexpected it is to see you standing there! I didn't mean to insult your stupidity. Really, it's quite spectacular and worthy of much praise.
