Pidgeon Wars: The Land of Nod

This is very short, but I got bored and wrote this. VERY bored... I doubt I will carry on... thanks for reading!

_____________

The land of Nod may seem like a wonderful place to be. This parallel universe may be jammed full of glorious ladybird milking plants, and diamond toilet seats, but really, a deadly menace was at work. The pigeon was rising, and in fact, they had become so vain that they had named their world from their favourite past time. The Nod. Did you know that it is impossible for a pigeon to walk without nodding its head? Yes! That’s right!

The lord of the pigeons, sir Farliwart was. The Legends say that he was capable of killing nineteen... jokes in a minute, but quite frankly, the Legends were a load of idiots. Yep, they were a bunch of twits that believed in superheroes; namely Milkman and his archenemy, Postman. It is said, that these two once battled it out, with Postman dedicating his life to those who fought and died during the 2007 postal strike. May Farliwart bless those men. And so came to be, that the lord of the Legends named Paperboy, in honour of Postman. Of course, the church of Milkman grew also, and it was their prize possession, the Milk-mobile that still lives today.

I liked this, especially the whole "these two once fought it out". You should write stuff like this more often!

Quite an amusing tale actually :).

When you said a pigeons favourite pastime, I thought you meant the other one. Bird droppings, anyone?

*smiles and nods benignly*

You frighten me Mark. Sometimes you really do. An entire religion devoted to Milkman? I love Milkman as much as anyone, but you know that Postman rocks some serious socks. Why does Milkman get all the love, glory and possible dark minions in cults? I mean, Postman just gets some lord of the idiots of Legend named after him, and it isn't even his real name!

*sighs*

Yeah, just had to get that off my chest.

Anyway, funny stuff. You should get bored more often.

Some of your tenses and some punctuation appear to be a bit off, but this isn't really intended to be a lambasting review, so just accept my congratulations on a fine ( Well... ;) ) piece of work.

*thumbs up*

The mere thought that there could ever be a lord of pigeons is quite humorous...what would the world be like then, I wonder?
