Legend of the Menchi
By: Mack Jenkins
Long ago there was a race of mythical beings that some thought to be monsters. Their nails were inch long claws on their hands and feet, fanged teeth like a beasts, their ears pointes, skin pale like fresh fallen snow, and their eyes had no whites, or pupils they were just al black. Their bones were as strong as steel, their moved quicker and with greater agility than anything to ever exist. Though these forms were distinctive they could recoil their claws, dull their teeth, and turn their eyes to that of a regular person. The color of their eyes in their true and human forms is different for each tribe. These beings were built to survive and thrive. Everyone in their tribe had a specific function and the tribe was lead by a single Alpha.
Before any real appearance of order was established amongst the tribes it was all out turf wars for hunting grounds. The only problem was that innocent settlers died in between these wars. So one day the settlers got fed up and went to a powerful witch begged and beseeched her to end their suffering and torment. But well they begged her the leaders of the 6 biggest tribes took counsel. Their spies in the human camps had informed them of their plot. The tribes made a treaty saying that they would evenly deal the land out to each tribe equally. So they banned together and slaughtered the entire settler encampment.
When they got to the witches temple the 6 tribe leaders marched up the staircase and entered there stood 12 humans with long silver robes and the mark of a sideways hour glass with a line through it. The deal with the witch had been paid for by those 12. The witch banished the 6 tribes to the corners of the known world. After she cast her spell only 3 tribe leaders remained: Zal of the Black Craft tribe, Xen of the Xinon tribe, and Makis of the Oak tribe. They struck and slit the witches throat and with her dieing spell she cursed them that every child born from the blood of a Menchi shall be a Man. And with that The Menchi line looked to be extinct.
Throughout the centuries the Menchi mated with human women and once that Menchi chose a human mate even if that human left them they could chose no other. The mate was to be chose by a ritual. Through all of this the Menchi have stayed hidden … long forgotten by our times. The Menchi evolved with them from running to driving, writing to typing, no school … to high school. This curse that the Blue witch cast has lasted generations and now it will be broken by three unlikely Menchi a thief, a scout, and a prince. 5 tribes stand today with pockets of wanderers and exiled Menchi spread throughout the world. A majority of Menchi inhabit Canada and the northern united states. The Xenon tribe once great is now thief and trades with no hold on the old ways, the Black Craft now assassins, and killers they hold the old ways closer than any, The Isis tribe are blood thirsty warriors bred to be better than other Menchi. And finally the Oak tribe … they are completely off the map. Once great and large in numbers they are now about 30 confined to a small rural town in Muskoka Ontario.

Hi! I'm here to leave a quick review!!
First Impression: Okay...so this as a prologue has its issue but judging by what you've said here, it doesn't quite seem to have been intended as a prologue and as far as this premise for a story goes, this is actually quite a interesting idea here.
Anyway let's get right to it,
Distinct fairytale vibes radiating off of this particular piece here. It certainly catches your attention as the prologue to a story. The descriptions here sound pretty unique, I don't think I've seen being of quite this description before so points for originality there...the transforming into a human when necessary is more common as a power, but its definitely a fun one. You also seem to have built up a decent amount of worldbuilding around these tribes here, so this is a nice little way to start off something like this.
Okay....so this went along quite fast to becoming a lot more backstory like. The first paragraph sounded more like it was just sort of establishing a setting but it appears that perhaps that is not quite the situation going on here...so its certainly an interesting direction to take this in. At any the backstory is still interesting, so let's see where this goes.
Hmm...well this is certainly reading like perhaps a bit of a myth or a legend at this point of these tribes, which means, it comes off as a interesting choice for a prologue, but it does actually work. Starting with something like this and then perhaps cutting to the present day or some other time with these beings doing things would work out, although if that's not the case, this might be slightly too much to put into a prologue.
Okay...so we end on what reads a lot like a plot summary of sorts and I think ultimately, this is what this seems to be here, I don't think you quite meant to write a prologue in the sense of a prologue, this is more like what you expect the book to be about and a little bit of the backstory.
Aaaaand that's it for this one.
Overall: Overall, I think this is a solid idea. It sounds something that I'd totally read. However, putting this as a prologue I think wouldn't really work. This at best is a plot summary and maybe if you removed the last paragraph it could work as a bit of a myth or a legend in a prologue, but as it is, its not quite there.
As always remember to take what you think was helpful and forget the rest.

First of all--and this was the main reason I came to review this--the title should be: A Possible Prologue for a Book I Am Writing. And with that covered, let's move on to the review. Comments shall be in bold.
All in all, this story was very poor. There were frequent mistakes, the story made no sense, it was confusing and it doesn't really seem like it has any sense of direction. A lot of the things you want us to believe as part of the story are entirely impossible to believe, and as readers we cannot simply just take it like that. We can't believe something which is improbable.
My advice is this: go over your work thoroughly and weed out misspellings and grammatical errors. Explain everything you left vague to give the story an air of mystery. Make the story make sense. And most importantly slow it down, because the whole thing felt too rushed. Just because it's a prologue, it doesn't mean you have to cram a story into a few paragraphs! Explore things more, show us don't tell, make us enjoy reading the story as much as you must have enjoyed writing it. If you can do all that, this will be a lot better.
Oh, and fix the setting of your story. It doesn't really make sense to talk about mythical beings and witches who came into direct contact with humans if it's going to be set in the 21st century of today. Maybe you should change the story to a fantasy setting; I think it'll probably suit it better.
Shoot me a PM if you revise it and need a reviewer.
