I’m going to better myself
Better get the tombstone and the shovel
Dig my grave i’m on the double
Drop my other self in it
The old one the pretty bad one
The made people sad one
I don’t wanna be known as that someone
I wanna be known as the person that I will become
That someone
Don’t cry tears it’ll be okay
You’ll probably like the new me anyways
I won’t let myself go astray
So I won’t feel the need to stay away
Just to come back to do the same thing
I’m the one I’m always blaming and shaming
Continuously taming
And repairing well I’m breaking
I won’t shatter just to continuously batter myself
Over things that I think are my fault
I think I just need to halt
Take a step back maybe two or three
In order to better me
You may think how could he ever?
Well the answers probably never
But with that mindset how could I ever get better
That’ll just push me back and i’m not going down that path again
I will have to take a detour and if I don’t I won’t know for sure
If that’s possible but not doing so is just irresponsible
And I’m holding myself responsible
For all of my actions
This is a new me a new scene
To my life
My own movie
So you better yell action!!
New year a new me
Please don’t run
I’m a different someone
Not as bad as I was back then
I promise you I will do better
Will I hurt you?
I promise you I’ll never try to!
New year a new me
Please don’t run
I’m a different someone
Not as bad as I was back then
I promise you I will do better
Will I hurt you?
I promise you I’ll never try to!
I’ll never ever try to!
Are you ready to watch the ball drop?
Maybe I should just stop
My life will be a flop
And I’ll have no one to give props
But props to me for trying so hard
To guard those people that I care for
I know they always have an open door
And I need to do the same
This is not a game
I’m being a train wreck
I’m not trying hard enough not breaking my back
And that fear will only stack
Of loneliness coming back
I promise you I’m being real
I’m not being fake I better backtrack
and find what it is that I lacked
And gaining it not refraining it
Start training it instead of losing it
This is a new me and I’m choosing it
Taking the old me and I’m bruising it
I’m ending that
This should be a celebration
So throw your hats
New year a new me
Please don’t run
I’m a different someone
Not as bad as I was back then
I promise you I will do better
Will I hurt you?
I promise you I’ll never try to!
I’ll never ever try to!
I’ll never try to!
I’ll never try to!

Hi SadGuy!
Here's a review for you! I really liked your rap lyrics! There was a very nice flow and I loved your word choice;)
I really liked these lines that you opened with! I didn't expect for you to switch to talking about burying your past self. I thought that that was a very interesting turn of events. I also really liked the way "the pretty bad one" and "made people sad one" had a really good sound to it.
I thought that the "throw your hats" was a nice touch
Anyways, cool lyrics and keep on writing!
Hi, Pix here to review this for you!
I love rap, so when I saw this lyrical piece I was just so tempted to read; and I'm definitely not dissapointed!
I personally love how personal you made this. I was silently rapping this in my head, it kind of sounded somewhat like Eminem (hehe) and I was bobbing my head as if there was music playing in the background. You rhymed everything in the perfect place, at the perfect time. I'd really like to hear this recorded.
I'd have to say my favorite lines were definitely:
Such a wonderful rhyming scheme here! *claps*
The only advice I really can give on this peice is to fix the formatting a little. Spacing out the paragraphs-- or stanzas--- or chorus, would make this a little bit easier to read.
Keep it up and i can't wait to read more of your work!

i'm glad you liked it! Also yeah I know the formatting is eh when I was publishing the work and putting it in I spaced it out with stanzas and put the chorus spaced out as well but when it got posted the formatting would just mess itself up for some reason and I didn't know why cause when I edit the work it's completely fine but than when it's posted it's just not. But anyways I'm glad you liked it this is actually the first time I post any of my lyrics anywhere so I really appreciate it.
Understandable, keep it up! This is great work
