  UNIMAGINARY

UNIMAGINARY is an indie animation that I plan on making! I only have down the writing and stuff for it (you know, the ideas and stuff? yea), and I am looking for animators, voice actors, a songwriter, and instrumentalists (I plan on having a soundtrack)!

Plot An entity acts as a girl's imaginary friend, until 12 years later the same entity reveals that she has been real all along. The girl is quick to tell the entity to leave, but the entity eventually convinces her to let her stay. Together, they go through all kinds of things together.

MORE DESCRIPTIVE  Vera grew up with tons of friends— which eventually cursed her with the belief that ‘everyone’ could be her friend. At 5 years old, Vera began to “imagine” this sort of..entity. The entity was named ‘ Rin ‘. Through all of the years of being friends with Rin, Vera has never questioned why Rin would only talk to her in her room and would hide when anyone else came in. Vera just chalked it up to Rin being shy or anti-social, she did look a bit..unusual compared to regular people. Turns out, Rin wasn't just in Vera's imagination, and other people could VERY much see her. So, after Rin explained all of this to Vera 13 years later, Rin gave her a white japanese camellia flower clip. When Vera put it on, the flower would open when the clip touched her hair. This way, Rin could enter the flower any time she wanted to be with Vera, the flower becoming red and white whenever Rin is inside of it.

  OTHER THINGS

S1 — Basically just shows all of Rin & Vera's adventures together, the pilot showcasing how they first met. Will have an episode that goes into Vera's troubles being a bubbly black girl.

— Planning to do 15 episodes each season (Pilot included in season 1) . Well, not for s2, s2 will have 20. In, ep19 will be the defeat of s2’s antagonist & ep20 will basically be the aftermath of it :3 The number of episodes for each season increases:

S1 : 15

S2 : 20

S3 : 25

S4 : 30

— I plan on having a sound track!

— Vera kind of sees Rin as a best friend BUT ALSO AS A mother figure since she never got to meet hers growing up.

— I do wanna put a 67 joke in one episode SORRY..its not gonna be the whole episode but just a small little joke

First for my rose-tinted glasses!

Though the idea of imagery friends in storytelling has been used before I'm excited to see what you do to make exciting and fresh! I rather excited for Rin and I'm curious, what is she? What kind of mystical being is she? I don't see how believing anyone could be Vera's friend is a curse, what will happen? Does she friend someone who wants to capture and study the strange being Rin? Perhaps another magical being? What if their aliens? What if their fairies! It's clear this will be a very happy whimsical series, perhaps like mlp? What does the flower clip mean? Does it symbolize anything?

Now for my critical side.

I feel well the 67 "joke" would connect to younger viewers it would make you seem more juvenile, well it could help in your career by showing you are in touch with the younger generations it would make you perhaps be seen as less able to direct something more serious with more mature characters, it really depends where you want to take your career if you want to make films and cartoons. However if you can execute this series you want to make and have a strong story and strong characters I'm sure companies and other film makers would dismiss that (unless the joke didn't land)

Overall it's a rather simple idea so I hope you can grow it and make it work in the end.

Thanks for showing us this masterpiece.

Peace, Every.

Hiihiii! Ty for taking the time to review! For Season 1, there's not going to be a whole bunch of "serious" stuff, lol <333 Season 2 Is when it'll get yk more serious! But ty for your review!!! :D

Also, where Rin comes from will be explained once I make my characters book for them! > <

Here something: I think you could show the stakes in your pitch because currently it doesn't really feel like there's too much stakes. I don't really understand the emotional or story stakes. I'm afraid I was too afraid of being too hard in my review I don't know why. So I decided to fix that now! :D

I don't understand really why it matters if Rin is not or is real? Together they go through all sorts of things together? Very vauge, is it emotional? Physical? This is what I said when there are no stakes. There can be stakes even if it's not as serious as season 2, we need a reason to care. As well we don't really understand the setting, is this world filled with magic or is Rin an oddity? Is it si-fi, mystery? It's hard to understand the genre this is in. Well, as I said what is important is the execution!

So they're from different worlds! Vera is from, yk, Earth-- and Rin is from a realm called M.O.T.E (Meadow Of The Everlasting)! Rin escaped from that realm & landed on Earth where she met Vera. I'll explain further in another book! <3 I don't wanna spill too much because if it does end up becoming an animation then yk..it's kinda already spoiled.

Not many emotional things go on in S1! In S2 there will be a lot more stakes, especially because I will be introducing a new character that will be an antagonist.
