Lost in my thoughts,
Fighting, searching.
Long have I sought,
for a way of loving.
No matter how I try,
No matter what I do.
I cannot seem to find,
I cannot speak to you.
Cannot share my feelings,
In a world so cold.
My heart has been sealed,
Or so I’ve been told.

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
I know this is super old and was published even before I was born, but I was going through older poetry on YWS and noticed that you used to post so much here. Your poetry is really beautiful. I am not sure if you even come on here anymore, but I wanted to type up a few thoughts. This isn't a regular review for me, but I thought it was worth sharing
These lines capture the essence of searching for yourself, for who you want to become and for who you used to be. I love the idea of searching for a way to love- from what? Regret, hatred, fear? Love or hopelessness or rejection?
Hum, I wonder if in 19 years someone will still be reading my poetry and crying in the middle of the night xD
The tone of this is so empty. Its like you are trapped, but not trapped by chains, only your own mind.
These last two lines were the reason I decided to leave a review:
Oh my goodness, I love that and it hit me really deeply. A sealed heart, at least that is what you have been told. That is so raw and so lovely. I hope I can be a poet like you some day. Anyways, thanks for posting this poem in 2004
Your friend,
-Ellie
I like this poem too!
Umm. ...cannot seem to find what?
Probably dumb question, but I'd rather just say it than sit here and think about it.
I'd probably have worked the line "My heart has been sealed" in one more time, cuz I like it
Cool! Good job!
-Amice-
i thought it was too general and so i couldn't feel anything for the narrator which made the poem meaningless. it also feels like i've seen something like this too many times.
cool...well, first of all, I have to write some more poems?
thanks you guys!!!

if anyone wants me to look at
their poems then just ask cause
ive decided i need to look at other
people's more...
Love it
really do
all gooood :thumb:
no, these are the best lines:
you sure are good...
All I can say is...I agree with everyone else. You do write poems very well! And it was very inspiring, to say the least.
its sorta about when you know you are
loved by someone and you don't know
if you can love them back, lack of emotions
or something... im not sure... does that make
sense?
anyway thanks everyone for all the comments
- it really give me a load more confidence when
i hear what people think!
Wow, I love it. The flow is really good and the rhyming is exquisite. You can really write poems well, KayJuran
i like it.
best lines, i think. again, you have an excellent poem and it's dark in it's own way. i want ti know, KJ< what does this mean to you?
hmm...sounds like the lyrics to a linkin park song.
