[Normal People]

by Liminality

I am a buzzing outline of a person

floating down the streets,

edited in later to look like

faces, hair - blond, brown, black, and

auburn and platinum and diamond

rings on some of my fingers.

I am cloud-matter synthesised

by the plastic fibres of the mind,

I am spots in the edge of the vision

when you're running from something

you can't quite put a word to.

.

I am society, the featureless crowds,

which laugh and cry as suits

the storyboard's narrative.

I am hatred and fear, but whose

sweat? and whose rolling tears?

Questions that shiver like sunlight,

and fearing duct-tape-tight censorship

the director neglects to suggest answers.

.

The thing is,

normal people fear

what they do not understand

and dear child,

so do you.

Oh gosh this is amazing!

The first part is pretty and weird -but in the good way that leaves a small chill down your round-up i knew I was gonna enjoy this the second i read the first line its just ๐Ÿ‘Œ amazing!

The second part is sad-ish with hints of something dark that makes me shiver

And the third part is true but also creepy the 'so do you ' is just sjdjdhdnd!!!!!!! I love it!!!

You are absolutely positutlely awesome!

Thank you for sharing this, really!

And wow, the last part is so powerful:

โ€œThe thing is,

normal people fear

what they do not understand

and dear child,

so do you.โ€

The โ€œso do youโ€ part stood out the most. This ACTUALLY makes readers think, because they discover how this is directed to this.

Your narrative is AMAZING. Especially here:

โ€œ I am a buzzing outline of a person

floating down the streets,

edited in later to look like

faces, hair - blond, brown, black, and

auburn and platinum and diamond

rings on some of my fingers.

I am cloud-matter synthesised

by the plastic fibres of the mind,

I am spots in the edge of the vision

when you're running from something

you can't quite put a word to.โ€

Thank you so much! Virtual hugs!

There was nothing he enjoyed more than a good book. He'd wander into the study, take down some leather-bound volume, and eat it.
