What is School for an Ordinary Student?

School is the place where we dwell
The place where we feel well
Do you love school ?
Or hate it cause you're cool ?

In school, we'll gain friends
That will love you till the end
In school, you'll have enemies
And when you fight, you'll get penalties

School is like a jail that you cannot escape
During class hours, you can't get out of the gate
School is like a baby that always needs your attention
And goes to the point that it gives you tension

Some of us says, school is boring
But all we want in it is exploring
School is so hateable
But if we think twice, it is enjoyable

Maybe, we hate the teachers
But without them, we'll be like losers
We must appreciate their efforts
In helping us to develop

I'm just an ordinary student
Who treats school as an amusement
I shall never hate school instead I'll treat it as home
Where I saw new friends and never felt alone

Thank you "The Mabini Academy"
For helping me to prove that I'm wise academically
No matter what happens, I shall behold gratitude
To the said school, with fortitude

Like babygiggles said I didn't really agree with these lines

Do you love school ?
Or hate it cause you're cool ?

I always seen that those who weren't 'cool' hated school a lot more than those who were cool.

I was expecting this poem to merely be about the bad things about school but I was pleasantly surprised that you in fact praised it.

I didn't feel the same with my school but I do enjoy seeing that you in fact seemed to really be thankful.

The emotion I felt within this poem was pleasantly different. I loved how it wasn't filled with angst.

Great job and happy writing!

Knight Malachi here to review for KotGR.
So at first I thought you were just bashing school, and I wasn't too happy about that. But then when I finished the poem I realized that you weren't. So some of my review is chopped off because of that. But I think you explained very well the view a lot of people (including me, although I'm home-schooled,), have on it. But in the end you show us all the truth; that without school we'd be pretty dumb, and we should all be grateful for our teachers.

Maybe, we hate the teachers
But without them, we'll be like losers
We must appreciate their efforts
In helping us to develop

That meant something to me personally because my dad is a teacher, and it seems like he has so much to so, and his students hardly pay attention.
Now, I did notice that you have no periods in your poem. I think you have commas in the right places, but I say no periods at all. That must be fixed. Overall, good job.
Keep it up!

Hey Harvey,

Happy to review your story first.

OK the part where you wrote

"Do you love school ?
Or hate it cause you're cool ?"

I'm sorry but when i went to school, the popular kids loved school. And i was bullied so i fake being sick.

I liked this part the best, dUe to it being deep, and true.
"In school, we'll gain friends
That will love you till the end
In school, you'll have enemies
And when you fight, you'll get penalties"

So all up, I quiete enjoyed it, I found it cute and simple yet unique. As i've never seen a story like this before.

Regardless of it being short it didn't change my opinion on it, and ignore anybody who has bad feedback.
