Here is what happened
On this day
This is heartbreaking
Causing much dismay
A nice man was rude
A comic book movie won the Best Picture Award
They stopped the production of Tickle Me Elmo's
And Bob Saget is now our lord
Nickelback made a song to like
Mom made good casserole
Penn and Teller didn't fool us
Nic Cage declined a movie role
Plan 9 got a good review
I read a book and didn't get a paper cut
I didn't cry during Forrest Gump
Bill O'Reilly finally has his trap shut
Soon is the apocalypse
Goodbye my sweet friend
I left my mark on the earth
This is the end
For all the time left
This can't be worse
I can't believe
This is the ending to the Earth
It still can't be worse
Worse then Salmolnella
Oh wait, it is
I'm all out of Nutella

Hi. Kman134, here, to read.
I'm here to review your work.
Personally, i'm a little offended by a few things. I think Nickelback makes the best songs for the past two decades, and Bob Saget is the best tv actor ever since Full House.
Nicholas Cage, on the other hand, i can agree has lost his edge the past few years and him declining a role surprised me. Seriously, he really needs the money.
Honestly, i've predicted the end of the world about 12-years-ago, and was right that it was man-made.However, i doubt it's going to be a few things. The references to pop culture and the decline of popular products was pretty good. Unfortunately, some of the stanzas were a little off, but your the author, you'll figure out which ones i'm talking about.
the symbolisms of decline and despair were pretty well-written in the stanzas.
"Soon is the apocalypse.
Goodbye my sweet friend.
I left my mark on the earth.
This is the end."
the nihilistic, hopeless imagery was a nice touch in this stanza. Though, it should be more detailed.
This was pretty good. hope you write more.
Hello Strange. I hope you're doing well.
This little ditty was an enjoyable read, I must say. Very quaint and orderly.
Humorous, too. Whimsical, lyrical, and yes satirical.
I commend you for your work.
u can have my nutella, strange????????
Hi, J.C. here for a review!

Man, this is old
You start out with good rhythm and beat. Not too shabby.
Definitely beginning to fit into the Satiricial world. I like the Elmo and Saget blips.
Okay, if Nicholas Cage declined a movie role, than it definitely is the apocalypse. Or something dang close.
Even a year ago when you may not have been quite as good of a satire, you were still pretty good. I'm amazed at how much you know, and how many different people you can throw in and under the bus. Pretty crazy, actually.
Nutella is disgusting. Anyways, this poem was funny, though surely not one of the more hysterical ones of yours. It has a lot going for it, though. Your rhyming doesn't seem too forced, that is, until the last stanza, but still, good enough to be counted as humor.
Thank you Strange!
#TheFaultInOurReviews
At first, I thought this was gonna be one of those warning poems that are all dramatic like: OMIGAWD, DA WORLD BE ENDING AND FIREBALLS BE RAINING AND KIDS BE EATING EACH OTHER AND WHILE THEY'RE AT IT, WHY DON'T YOU READ THIS POEM AND FULLY UNDERSTAND HOW HORRIFIC OUR SITUATION IS AND HOW YOU CAN'T FIX IT IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER, BECAUSE MANKIND IS DOOMED, DESTROYED, AND ROTTED TO ****!
But it wasn't. It was humorous, much to my relief!
And now for the actual content of the review.
I hate criticizing truly humorous poems, so I shall keep this short and sweet, as was your poem.
Formatting: Perfectly fine, though of course 4 lines per stanza is a massive poetry formatting cliche, but you spiced it up by only making 2 lines per stanza rhyme
Grammar and Punctuation: Few commas or periods, so that sort of hurt my brain. Maybe insert a couple of commas and periods? Grammar always welcome.
Content: Well, I'll repeat for the 3rd or 4th time that it was hilarious. Nice taste. Great take on a massively cliche topic. I liked all the references, and nearly none of the rhymes were forced. Because of the excellent use of humor and rhyme, I gave you 9 instead of 8.5. Nice job!
Overall rating: 9/10.
Keep writing! Nice piece of work here!
+1
Ahehehe! This really is a very humourous poem, even though I didn't understand all of the lines, due my lack of exposure to television.
The last line was a nice twist in the tale, and something everyone can relate to.
My single criticism is the lack of almost all punctuation. I mean, you do come across works that for a clever poetic device they have not used punctuation, but in something as light-hearted as this you have little excuse in my opinion. Other than that well done!
Hope this helps,
Take That You Fiend!
Go Red Team *chears!*
I agree.
Hey hey! Cailey here, another review for the Green Lanterns. Yay! Go green!!

Anyway.... obviously I've done a few too many reviews already..
Okay, so, for my review. I feel like I shouldn't review this because I don't get enough of the references. Yes, I am that loser kid that has no idea about actors and singers and things. Although, I totally know what Nutella is!
So, I'm going to kind of gloss over the content of the poem that I don't understand. (Please excuse my ignorance.) And I'll turn straight to the poem itself. I see you did some with rhyme, and I like that you only did two rhyming lines rather than rhyming all of the lines in the stanza, since I think in this case that would have been overkill.
I think you could add some rhythm though. This doesn't flow very well in places, since your lines are all over the place, some are really long, some are short, it's hard to follow. It's chaotic, and maybe you did that on purpose, but if you didn't I would suggest working to make it more even, since that will make it easier to read as well.
Also, I think this was sarcastic (please forgive me if it isn't) and I like that. It's like a satirical piece and it's really good. And the ending line totally brought that all together and I loved the ending, it was perfect for the poem.
So, all in all, nice job, work on rhythm but otherwise you did good. Let me know if you've got comments or questions or anything, and of course, keep writing.
Hiya ^_^
First of all I just love the word dismay so and instant like earned.
That may just be the Apocalypse when a comic book move wins!
"Nickelback made a song to like"---favorite line by far
i love how this just reflects upon the world today very strong connections
I think we all hope to leave our marks on the world I can relate to this poem in a lot of ways.
Even if it was the Apocalypse happening this poem makes me feel safe oddly enough.
NOOOOO not the Nutella
You really excel and funny poems my friend
Keep Writing
JC
I just love that last line!

Your use of modern day references made it much more relate-able such as the Nick Cage on (I swear he churns out 20 useless films a year). I think the rhyming scheme is good but occasionally seems a bit forced which can throw off a poem, but luckily it didn't for me
I have no other critique because I thought this was a lovely, lighthearted poem and am looking forward to any others like this you will write
This is just hilarious to read and totally made me laugh! I don't have any critique for it, mostly because I see nothing wrong with it and I'm not comfortable combing through poetry for mistakes.
Every line brought a smile on my face-- and that ending! You get every ounce of applause from me.
HEllo!
This is a very humorous poem and I really like it! I liked all the allusions and imagery! You have a sweet sense of humor, especially the last line.
You don't need to work on anything, not really, just on the fluency but that can be hard because of all the names you have in here.
But all-in-all, it was very nicely done! Thanks for the smile! REally needed it today!

This is such a funny poem! I haven't ever read poetry so light and humorous. Thanks for the laugh! On another note, this poem could do with some editing to make things flow easier. For example, you could omit the "And" in the last line of the first stanza and say "causing much dismay" instead.
