HI I THINK IT'D BE FUN TO JOIN. Also, how would the process of writing the scenes and then posting them go? Like, would the two people fighting get together in a pad, write out their fighting stuff, and then post it? Or is there another way that this works?
So, ideally I'd like to get to the two contestants in a pad together so they can collaborate the fight scene ^^ the outcome of the fight will be predetermined so they won't need to figure out who would win, but in the pad they can brainstorm how the fight will go. I'll probably be around most of the time during collaboration to help when I can and answer questions ^^
Oop double posting -- as far as the posting goes: I'd imagine each fight is going to take at least two to three posts. Probably up to four at max. Two posts minimum so each contestant's writer can get a post in (so it's fair) and I'd like to split the posts between the first half and second half (so before the arena opens up and after) but depending on how in depth the fight scenes go, it can have many posts. Although not everyone's characters will be in each post, I hope everyone will keep up with the posts ^^
All of that sounds good, Omni! If no one else wants a character, I can double up ^^

@herbalhour hmm well it doesn't seem like the person is very offensive with their powers, preferring to avoid and use the terrain to their advantage. If there was no terrain, or very little terrain, it would be impossible for the person to use their phasing powers.
A pretty simple weakness is to limit the amount of phasing the person can do. Another one is that if they try to phase through a living thing or a light source it can temporarily make their powers unstable and makes them very weak. So if someone has light powers, they're naturally at an advantage against your character, or if someone can create nature they can create like walls of growth that would make it difficult for your character to phase through.
If you're looking to make your character more offensive, perhaps they can use the phasing to their advantage: phase through a part of a wall with their arm and then unphase a chunk of the wall and use it as a weapon or something.
@KocoCoko I was just reading through the characters and I really the Mei Lian's references to Chinese culture (also i noticed she's really similar to Maomao from the apothecary diaries :0)
@herbalhour so say your character phases their arm into a concrete wall, and "expands" their phasing to a circle around their fist. They then pull their arm out of the wall, including the circle of concrete they phased with their arm. Unphase the circle of concrete and now your character has a part of concrete attached to their arm as a blunt weapon
So excited for all the new characters!!! Let's get this show on the road : D

Yep! I'm down. Just give me a bit to get them up ^^
