So this poem is for this Christmas party at my church and I just couldn't get the gist of it but I think this final one fits it well. Please review it!!! Don't be afraid to hold anything back. Enjoy

Christmas
With the decorated Christmas tree
The warm winter sweaters
And all the eggnog for me

Snow is falling
We softly lay in bed
We gather around in church
Wearing colors of black and red

Presents are exchanged
We exchange words of love
To each other and give
Praise to the Man above

For providing us a gift
That lives within us
That defends us when we sin
His name is Jesus

Today we celebrate the day
That Christ was born
And thank him for everything
For not letting us feel alone

Today on Christmas
We let go of all the jealousy
All the hate and all the sadness
And decide to be happy

We sing songs all night long
And pray for forgiveness
Having hope that we'll get through next year
Because we have Jesus within us

Today we eat
We eat like we are kings
With our mouths being too full
For any of us to sing

We make our mothers cook so much
But they know that they love it
We get blessings from our Lord Saviour
We have so much of it

Christmas
Is about being happy, loving, celebrating, baking, eating, greeting, sharing, playing, enjoying, dreaming, decorating, remembering, wrapping, wishing hoping, laughing, singing, relaxing, gathering, giving, renewing,caroling, and caring.

Christmas
Is not about receiving
It's that happy feeling you get
When you are giving

Christmas
Is not about being depressed
But it's actually recognizing
That you have been blessed

Christmas
Is not about being kissed under the misletoe
It's about knowing you have a lot of people
That love you, you know

Christmas
Sadly, is not about the food
It's actually apreciating
That life has been good

Christmas
Is about about the wonderful birth of Christ
Who sacrificed himself
So that we may all breath life

Christmas
Yes, Christmas tonight
Is being thankful, because there are others
Who would want to know what Christmas is like

So it's not always about presents
Or having a Christmas tree
It's also thanking God
For saving you and me

So you may ask
Why doesn't Christmas feel the same
We are celebrating Christ's birthday
So He must be on His way
