What are you reading at the moment?

I finished the watcher by James Howe last night. :insert long yaaaaaaaaaaaawn: still working on Rebecca. :yawn:

I have just finished reading 'The Seeress of Kell' by David Eddings which is part of a series of books called the Mallorean. The series is amazing and really inspiring! There is another series before called the Belgariad which is also completly fantastic!

I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in a fantastic fantasy read!

My Papy gave me a load of his old sci-fi books that he was going to throw out, so I'm ploughing my way through 'em. At the moment it's Legacy of Heorot By Niven, Pournelle and Barnes

In the middle of "A Crack in the Line" by some guy I can't remember...xD

Maybe A Miracle by Brian Strausse, I believe. I heard about it in Writer's Digest, but so far, I'm not impressed.

I don't why I've enver heard of this fellow. He's a deft writer with just a keen a wit, and an Irsih sense of humour. ^_^

Currently reading "The New York Trilogy" by Paul Auster and "The Best Awful: A Novel", but I just found out that "Eclipse" (Twilight series) is coming out in August...and I've put everything on hold to freak out about that.

That dude needs some therapy very badly. I'm a bit worried that one day I'm going to turn on the news (or head over to MSNBC.com, geek that I am) and see the headline "Author and Character: Together Forever off the Brooklyn Bridge"

Reading Bone Mountain by someone whose name has momentarily eluded me - about the fall of Tibet to the Communist Chinese. My dad wanted me to read it but I'm not sure it much appeals to me. I was never good with Buddhist patience and center. ^_^

Bushido, maybe, but I'm not sure that Japanese philosophy applies to Tibet...

Claudette's copy of Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichton. Imp, have you read any of the subsequent books to Theif? Mmm, Frank O'Connor is good stuff.

I loved Kite Runner, though the end didn't live up to my expectations.

Right now... A Tale of Two Cities, and Bastard Out of Carolina. Enjoying both so far.

I'm reading Red Badge of Courage in my Literature class..I read it in high school so it's nothing new. Though I must admit, it is much more interesting this time around.

Stephen Crane was a smart man. I'm not a huge fan of the book, but it is really crafty- all the allusions are perfectly placed, and the tone is eye opening. I didn't notice the first time around. My professor helped point it all out. The message of the book is brilliant.

I'm also reading a book called Field Notes From a Catastrophe. It's by Elizabeth Kolbert and discusses Global Warming. It's so good. She gives so many examples of all the scientific proof- it's scary. I've known about more of her examples for a while now, but it's still shocking every time I hear about it.

And I'm reading the first book in the His Dark Materials series, The Golden Compass, in my free time. I've heard a lot of great things about the series but never got around to reading it, so I'm trying to make time now
