The Keys to Infinity (Open ~ Accepting w/permission only)

Anyone that has read the Fableheaven series by Brandon Mull will find things very easy for them

During WW2, when Hitler controlled much of Europe and the USA was just about to enter in the war alongside the U.K., a crucial discovery was made. One scientist stumbled upon ancient works by Cicero, hinting at a mysterious relic that could grant incredible power. This relic was said to host infinite power, and so it did.
...But allow me to backtrack. The Ancient Greeks, at the height of their power, understood that nothing could last forever, and the world was eternally in conflict between chaos and order. They prayed to their gods for balance, but the gods were fickle. The Greeks established magic, based on rituals and invocations, many derived from the magical creatures that roamed freely around the earth, but this just created further conflict that now warred between Italy and their homeland. The Greeks, in desperation, created an artifact, the Key of Infinity, but the magical effort exhausted their defenses.
Then the Romans came, eager to seize the artifact. They broke upon Greece with armies, burning their knowledge in fear that something might have escaped them, erasing many traces of their knowledge and former magic systems. This signaled the beginning of troubled times for the magical creatures, that began to retreat to the furthest corners of the earth.
But, around this time, a group of men, philosophers, warriors and magicians banded together, under the name of 'School of Archimedes' for he was the founder, and smuggled the artifact away, replacing it with a decoy. This group, each day swelling, worked hard to prevent any from chancing upon this relic, traveling to what will become Norway. From there they encouraged the Norwegian tribes to carry the artifact to the New World.
They thought it would be safe there. But they were wrong.
For, against this organization, a shadowy Order rose, infiltrating the ranks of the various courts. Subtlety and deceit have always been their operative code. Through a cunning web of bribes and blackmail, they managed to derail the Key's shipping to England, and then attacked the same country both by manipulating the Romans and the Vikings. Though the School of Archimedes, now under the name of First Legion, managed to prevent the Order from obtaining the artifact. They brought it back to Europe and hid it.
Things were quiet until the Christian Church was founded. They abolished the magic system that had quietly survived all that time and hunted the users down, under the name of Demons. Magical creatures were dismissed as blasphemous fabrications, and the sheer unbelief forced them to retreat to magical preserves founded by the Legion, now under the name of Knight Templars. But the Curch, recognizing the use of magic, they created their own system, based on prayers that indirectly augmented their power, and they themselves never quit believing in magical creatures.However, this perverted the very religion they were preaching, and the Order used this to strike once again. They infiltrated the Vatican, where the artifact was secretly founded, and tried to steal it once again. But the Knight Templars, moved it to Russia. In revenge, the Order hunted down the Templars and killed most of them. Few survived, those who did scattered.
Once again things were quiet, until the 1800's, when Lenin and Plechanov battled for the trust of the people. This was a dire time for magic. Lenin was inducted in the Templar order, re-adapted as the Communist Party, while Plechanov was secretly in cahoots with the Order. The Communists won the struggle and secured their hold on the Key once again.
Then Hitler arrived, backed by powerful members of the Order. They cajoled him to conquer Europe, on a hunch the Communists had moved the Key. They had. To the USA. Then, in order to ensure it was never found again, the USA, the U.K., with support from the Vatican, sealed the Key of Infinity in a hidden, unreachable preserve, and to access this preserve one would need five other keys, all hidden in secret preserves.
....Now, in late 2012, none believe in magic, save those that have had contact with the 55 surviving preserves. The Communists are now existing as an organization known as WorldPeace.
The Order hasn't been heard of in centuries, but it's still out there, waiting, watching, infiltrating and plotting. They have decided that it's high time to locate the five preserves and rule the world with the power of the Key of Infinity....

You are either part of the Order or WorldPeace. If the former, your task is, by any means possible, obtain the Key of Infinity. If part of the latter, you must stop the Order.

I'll post it up by tonight. And also, have you noticed that in the last line, you mentioned there are 55 preserves, when there are only five keys? Just sayin'. XD

The other preserves are to preserve the mythical beings in the world. Only 5 secret preserves house the keys because they are the most dangerous. Then there's the super-secret one that houses the Key.

Name: Parker West

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Group: Worldpeace/leader

History: Parker was born in England, keeping herself away from all her brothers and sisters when they caused trouble. When she was three, her parents were part of the WorldPeace counsil. They taught her the rights and wrongs in the world, she knew the Order's were going to try to get the five keys, and trained for seven years non-stop and is ready for anything. Her parents thought it was better for a young and more athletic person to be in-charge so they set Parker to it. She's studied the organization for years, giving her the knowledge of a person that has been there for years.

Personality: Parker is instructive, liking things done the right way or not done at all. She's funny and playfull when not on a mission, but can be strict against some of the people that annoy her. It's better to get on her good side or she wont trust you as much. You'll never see her frowning, she stays positive unless she's completely sure somethings gone wrong. She's very daring and strong, not liking to cry in public. She is smart and cunning, very secretive sometimes.

Other( particular skills, up for love, etc): Parker is amazing at fighting and warfare, partictularly good at the bow and arrow. She is good with guns. If you give her a new weapon it'll only take her about three minutes to figure out how it works without help. She's up for love, as long as it doesn't destract her from taking down the Orders. Not to mention she has a British accent.

Gender: Female

Age: 20

History: Grew up as a triplet of three, was considered the black sheep of the three. Her sibling's always blaming thing's she didn't do on her and there parents always believed them, now she joined the order to get away from her sibling's wanting to keep as far away as possible.

Personality: A clever girl, knows how to solve any problem when faced with one. Physically athletic, and mentally smart she makes for one hell of an opponent in battle.

Strengths: She's a stratageist on the battlefield and can you use just about anything as a weapon.

Weaknesses: Shes a hot head and can loss it after a few taught's from the enemy or being laughed at when something seems ineffective.

Other: Up for love, Has a one handed sword equipment with runes to absorb and redirect magic, sometimes making the magic do special thing's depending on the element, Also has a thing for "bad boy" type of guy's or girls.

Name: Katrina Verion, friends call her Kat
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Group: Order
History: Kat was born in Austria. Her parents were both Order members, so she grew up learning the mission and values of the Order. When her parents were killed in an accident, Kat took it upon herself to fill their shoes. Her unusual skills proved to be great assets, and she rose through the ranks of the Order quickly.
Personality: Kat's greatest strength is her intelligence. She's cunning, and she's very good at math and physics. She thinks through every decision she makes, so while she's often slow to act, she doesn't make mistakes often. She cares about her Order colleagues, but rarely shows it, preferring to keep her distance. She's a talented actor, and always uses a "character" to disguise herself in the outside world. She can be sarcastic and pessimistic, but most of the time, she's joking. She keeps her thoughts and plans to herself, telling only her superiors, which can be frustrating and confusing for those not in the loop. She can also be condescending, and doesn't have any qualms about making enemies within the Order.
Other: Kat is not often near actual fighting, but she's a good marksman, her weapon of choice being a sniper rifle. She also has a thing for airplanes, and is an accomplished pilot. She speaks six languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Russian). Up for love, but only with someone at her intellectual level.
