So... Oath of the Tennis Courts. My history book just says "they vowed not to disband until they had come to an agreement".
Yes, that's lovely. But that doesn't tell me anything. A google search wasn't helpful either.
So... I know that the third estate locked themselves in the tennis courts (of Versilles?), to stand up to the first two estates, but what were they trying to accomplish?
Help is unbelievably appreciated, as it is finals season.
