In my story, a character is temporarily blinded with a harsh flash of light. Would her eyes show any sign of it, e.g., would her pupils be extremely constricted?
Your pupils automatically contract in bright light to prevent too much from entering your eye. Therefore, in a bright flash, your pupils would immediately contract a lot.
“Rise like Lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number.
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you—
Ye are many—they are few.” — Mary Shelly
