Can you explain color theory in makeup ;_; like what colors look good with a certain undertone you have in your skin and stuff. lip shades, blush, etc.?

COLOUR THEORY, MY FAVOURITE! OK . SO!
Generally, the undertones of makeup that will suit your undertone best, are the same. Like for a cool undertone, lipsticks with a blue/purple undertone.

Think of cool vrs warm colours on a colour wheel: Warm colours are oranges, yellows, greens, and reds, and cool ones are blue, purple, pink etc.

Neutral undertones are a little bit different, they usually can suit most things. neutral basically means its kinda mix of both cool and warm undertones(it can almost have an olive sort of tone)

To neutralize a colour means you cancel a colour out with its complimentary colour on the colour wheel, like if you mix an orange with a blue.

Can I ask what undertone you have? I can give some better suggestions then.

Why doesn’t pencil eyeliner stick to my skin?

@GengarIsBestBoy ooh thats a good one! humm ok, where about do you put your pencil liner o your eyes? And do you know your skin type?(oily, dry, combination, or normal)
Can you also tell me what the pencil eyeliner is that you use?

You have a very cute nose! Going off the picture I'm not sure. But if you look up how to find your undertone ok google, you can usually tell by the veins on the underside of your wrist. Try that.

I've tried the vein thing a lot to figure out whether gold or silver is best for me but my veins are very in betweensies some are blue purple some are green yellow it's rather aggravating >.>
my face is sort of a rounder diamond

I usually try to apply it on the side of the eye to make a wing, or on the eyelid, but it never even makes a mark. Which is weird because it works when drawing on my hand

I don’t know a ton about skin types, but if I had to say I think it’d be combination? Also I’ve used a few different brands, the ones I have in my hand now are Wet N Wild and L.A Colors. Some are actual pencils while others are ‘auto-eyeliners’ that work like crayola twistables

Also, is winged eyeliner even possible with pencils? Idk, I’m not allowed to have liquid liner, and all the pencil liner tutorials I see are going for a more ‘professional’ look

@luxeterna if you can't figure it out and/or you have both usually means you'v got a neutral tone! I can give you some more ideas for good colours if you want.

I've had few eyeliners like that, it could mean their just really easy, or dried out. How long have you had them. Also if you could give me the name of the specific pencil, I can take a look at them. If not that's ok too.

Ok combination. Do you ever get dry or oily around your eyes?

Winged eyeliner is totally possible with pencil liner!! I've done it and I always recommend it to people starting winger liner, because it's easier to fix then ink.it might not be as crisp as with a ink liner. But it's gives a nice soft look that I like.

@ailahevelynmae. Ok so the easiest way to tell is by the veins on the bottom of your wrist. if their purple/blue then it's a cool tone, if they look kinda green/olive then warm, if it's a mix, probably neutral. Another way to tell is usually by holding a price of white paper by your face. If you see more pinky tones in your face(maybe on you cheeks, nose,) then if it looks a bit more yellowish, then warm.
