Brigadier says...

The Research part of the Resources forum might not be the most organized source of information but there are plenty of good threads to find.

While there are a lot of questions about specific pieces of user's prologue, there are also so many pieces of good information that can be utilized by others. Especially during this #PlanMo and #NaNo season.

Post any good threads you might see in Research and Writing Tips, here in this little old thread of mine. If you can narrow it down, try to specify what realm the questions fall into.

I'll start by adding the first couple of threads to this list.

LMS VI: Lunch Appointment with Death

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
