SteviexOctopus Presents:
Red Ink
Reviews

Welcome! Welcome!

To Red Ink Reviews! Have a look around and see if this is the sort of reviews for you. =D

I specialize in:
- Fantasy
- Action/Adventure
- Art & Photography

I will also review:
- Science Fiction
- Other Fiction
- Historical Fiction
- Advance Critiques/Novels*
- Rated 'R' Pieces**

I won't review:
- Poetry
- Romance
- Fan-fiction
- Lyrics
- Non-Fiction
(and trust me you don't want me to.)

What to Expect:
1.) Paragraph by Paragraph - I go through the whole piece and jot down random little thoughts that come to my mind, grammar and spelling mistakes I notice & sentences that confuse me. (If a paragraph is missing then I have nothing to say about it)
2.) Random After Thoughts: Where I just write down random tidbits of what I liked, what I didn't and thoughts of your piece as a whole.

But over all what I comment on (Plot, Characters, Dialog, etc) depends on your piece.

How to Submit a Piece:
Fill out the forum below and post it in the comments. You can submit up to three Pieces per post but each request has to be in the following format or else I'll ignore it.*

Example-
Title: My Awesome and Extraordinary Story
Link: topic12341.html
Genre: Fantasy
Points of Interest***: Needs new title, Dialoge
Previous Parts/Chapters:

Code: Select all
Title:
Link:
Genre:
Points of Interest:
Previous Parts/Chapters:
Prologue/Chapter One
Chapter One/Chapter Two
Any who, I look forward to reading your stories!

Best Wishes,
SteviexOctopus

*Please note that I will not review anything past the Third Chapter if it is not an Advance Critique or I already reviewed each previous chapter of your novel in other posts. At which point no more then the first three chapters (including the prologue) can be submitted for a review. If you submit chapter or part three, please include links to the Prologue, Chapter One and Chapter Two with it.

**I won't read anything rated 'R' for bedroom scenes - anything that can be shown on TV is fine, but nothing more. I'm okay with violence and swearing though.

***Mainly what you want me to look at specifically. (Ex. Plot, Characters, Need Title, Dialog, etc.)

ask a mod to move this to Will Review for Food thread where everyone posts things like this! Or move it yourself.

Series Title: Advent Children
Title: Book One_ Lower Town
Link: topic52602.html
Genre: Action/Adventure Fiction (Advanced Critique)
Points of Interest: My interest is spread evenly over your general opinions of the piece. I just re-uploaded many revisions to the original story, and I'd like to see if they play nice a totally new reviewer, who hasn't read it already.
Previous Parts/Chapters: (none)

Or, if you don't feel like an Advanced Critique (eternal sadness T_T)

Title: Advent Children; Death of a Major Player (Part1/2)
Link: (Below)
Genre: Action/Adventure Fiction
Points of Interest: Spelling, grammar, etc. The usual.
Previous Parts/Chapters: (first chapter/part of the book)
Current Parts/Chapters:

Thanks bunches! If you already submitted something, I'll review them all in exchange (or, if not, I'll just gift you a buncha points!)

empressoftheuniverse - Your review is complete. =]

Kamas - Can you post a link? I'm not sure what you mean.

Xunnamius - Your review is on it's way (and probably will arrive in a chapter by chapter manner on your Advanced Critiques post).

Thank you Stevie; you did a fabulous job on my last piece.
I was wondering if you could critique this for me as well.

Other Fiction
Rated Tv14, but only for language and themes. Nothing gross or vulgar involved.
Areas of interest: Is my concept getting across to you? Does the story, at this point, seem to have a purpose?
And I am spewing lists?
All of these things were mentioned by someone else and I was hoping you could address them somewhere in your review.
