Jackie

She nods and I let her go. She hesitates before standing, walking back to the coffee cup on the counter.

Nic

"Go get her then," I whisper, playfully nudging him.

He flashes a smile before losing it and hesitating to stand, walking into the kitchen.

Jackie

I walk back out to Nic, plopping on his lap, "Succesful?"

I take a sip of my coffee, sitting by the window as I watch it snow.

Nic

I smile and wrap my arms around her, "I think so. You?"

I hesitate by the door, watching her before crossing the tile and wrapping my arms around her from behind.

Jackie

I nod and rest my head on his shoulder.

I flash a smile at him, sighing.

Nic

I rest my chin on her head and sigh.

Jace

I flash a smile back and set my chin on her shoulder, "C-can we talk about some stuff?"

Jackie

I close my eyes, "She kept arguing though. But I got through to her."

I raise an eyebrow and look out the window, "What did I do this time?"

Nic

I nod and close my eyes as well, "Same with Jace."

I shake my head, "No, no, Ray, you didn't do anything. I just wanna talk."

Jackie

I kiss his cheek, yawning.

I nod, "Yeah. What's up?"

Nic

I smile and nuzzle her face with mine.

I look out the window with her, "Do you think that... education is more important to me than you or the possibility of a family with you?"

Jackie

I giggle, "Stop, that tickles."

Rayah

I hesitate, "Sometimes. You sometimes push me aside for homework."

Nic

I smile and do it again.

I glance at her and nod before looking at the window, "I don't mean to. I care more about you and starting a family than I do my education though. I've just been stressing lately. I'm sorry."

Jackie

I laugh and glare at him playfully.

I nod, "I know. I'm stressed sometimes too."

Nic

I smile and chuckle, challenging her to do something with my eyes.

I kiss her cheek, resting my temple against hers, "I just... I want to be able to provide for you and however many kids we have, and getting through school's the only way I know how. I'll pay more attention to you, I promise. You come first."

Jackie

I bite my lip, flicking his forehead.
