I study her back, "How so?"

Rayah

I sigh, "That we can't start a family."

Jace

I move a hand to the side of her face, "We still can. Just... unconventionally."

Rayah

I open my eyes, "I'd rather not adopt...or anything else in that range. I don't want to be tempted to drink from them..."

Jace

I study her before nodding in understanding, "There has to be another way."

Rayah

I shake my head, "No there isn't.

Jace

I flash a smile, "But there has to. I know it."

Rayah

I think, glancing down at my stomach. Hm...wait. I was just turned...what if...

I remember last night and flash a smile, "What about last night? If Inwas human...then that means that it would've counted."

Jace

I glance at her stomach, "I was wearing protection...."

Rayah

I flick his forehead, "F*ck. Thank you for ruining the moment," I smile.

Jace

I flash a smile, "You just flipped out at Nic for not when he was with Jackie... so I didn't want to make the same mistake."

Rayah

I freeze, "Wait...you had them on you? You carry it around?"

Jace

I study her, "No... Nic had one in his jacket. I stole it."

Rayah

I nod, "Good, 'cause that'd just be weird..."
