It's been six months since it came
The days are slower than they've ever been

I'm writing a book about me
and I've placed it on my desk
I'll finish it shortly

to be like that? It looks odd and it distracted me from the rest of the poem. I like the rest of the song though. It's nice and simple. I do wonder what "it" was though. I get the feeling the song is about a breakup, but the "it came" in the first line makes me think that it is something more. What melody did you set this to? I keep hearing the melody for a "Pocket Full of Sunshine" when I read the chorus. I liked it! Keep writing!
