I didn't plan on doing NaPo; I was going to be busy with Screnzy.
Then, I found out that our literature teacher is going to "celebrate" National Poetry Month.
And June has begged me.
And I have already written a poem on both days.
Oh well.
NOTE: I wrote this first one for class, so that's why it is what it is.
Me
Like a bear:
protective of those they care.
Like a cat:
sneaky and a sleuth,
but always seeking comfort.
Like the blue and yellow:
the one everyone likes,
and the one only some do.
Like a lemon:
sour if picked too early.
Like a computer:
knows and stores a lot of information,
and on a bad day, is slow.
Like a rock in a gravel driveway:
not noticed,
but always listening.
Like a carriage:
stylish,
but in the wrong time.
Like a teddy bear:
always giving comfort,
and always has free hugs.
(Eek!)
