... For 30 days.

I'm actually terrible at poetry, so writing one quickly everyday = failure for me, but who knows? Do you? Since, I only just decided I was doing it, too, on top of Screnzy...

Anyway, best to everyone participating.

I'm really sorry if this thing offends the decent poets out there! It's bad. Me knows that.

i. Blood-lust Heartstrings

Before displacing the sunset with her laughter
I felt inclined to ascend to it also. But as her voice shrieked
and howled, bloodrush,
I made truce with the constellations to send her to the sea.
Tipped her over the cliff.
Her clothes flailing as if empty,
soulless fabric that insulted nature.
In that moment her eyes were never so wide,
her eyes never so fierce,
her nails never sharper
when she dug into me and took me down.
Seaward. Thrust her arms seaward.
The foamy wrinkles atop the surface strangled us down,
the creatures tasted salt-lick vengeance, blood-lust heartstrings.

(4/10)

Okies... I'll get better, I promise. =)

Okies, I like this one a little more. =]

ii. Yin/Yan

marshalled heavenwards, the devil's crater,
wrapped in the gold tornado of the sun,
shadow is sprouted fierce from the cliff.
cloud ahead, dimmer less is the seabed.

the sea's sex, grey beneath and white above,
the foam upturns and is forced into black.
ignored is the blue, the green, thrust between
the up and down. eyes see but black and white,
right, wrong. come hear my colour-blind fear.

iii. Lucidity

marmalade sunset, ripen soon tonight;
dawn is far, and my dreams are yet some more.
pass me by, for I will chase you with hope.
come to me, sprout in my mind a young bulb.
who knows how it will grow? my science does say,
that tonight, I shall create DNA.
fling yourself to walls; string all molecules;
save souls; be ceaselessly cruel. I control.

... Okay, that was bad. xD Anyone suggest any poems I could read? 'Twud be really helpful. It was meant to be about lucid dreaming...

I wondered why we put villains in our stories when we have plenty of them in real life; then I realized that maybe we wanted stories where the good guy wins.
