When is it?

I wouldn't mind trying my pen at poetry. I've never really been a huge fan but it sounds like it could be fun, plus if all else fails I could always write a haiku! ^_^

It starts at midnight on April 1st (the midnight right after March 31st, not at the end of the day) and lasts through the month. One poem a day if you can, but at least thirty by the end! ^___^ You should definitely try!

are you a green room knight yet?
have you read this week's Squills?

Thanks so much Hannah! I think I will. =]

I think I'm going to have all of my poems relate to each other in one way or another. Maybe this would be a great opportunity to write a novel in poetry. I've always wanted to do it. Is there any rule that says I can't have them all related? I think I'd find it easier if I didn't have to think of a brand new concept every single day.

-Jared
Just write -- the rest of life will follow.

Would love help on this.

No, there's not a rule like that that I know of! In fact, it would be nice to see the different ways you can explore one topic without writing the same poem thirty times, so I think that would be a good idea! ^_^ Good luck, Jared!

I've been trying to do a poem a day anyways. Of course I'm in.

Haha, I've actually always wanted to write an epic poem. (Poems that tell stories. Like Beowulf, only I'd use much more modern English. XD)
I make my own policies.

I may compete, I am not sure if I will. =p I probably won't. Back in janurary and feburary I wrote 1 poem+ a day and I don't feel like writing anymore. Well as heavily atleast.

I'm taking part :). This oughta be fun!
You poor take courage
You rich take care
This earth was made a common treasury
For everyone to share
All things in common
All people one
We come in peace
The orders came to cut them down
